For me weight is more important than size and even if it's the same weight as the 85mm, it will still be good for carrying around.

Are you interested in getting one?

if it weighs like the Batis 18..... I would consider it.... or simply hold out just a little bit for a true 35 f2.

The reason I bought a RX10 was for just knocking around...stopped by a car show yesterday afternoon. Took this photo when there was a split second with no one around the car!

I was originally going to get the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art but considering its size and weight, I decided against it. I've been more and more curious about the upcoming Batis 40mm f/2 and I think this will make a much better native lens for me to get.

Hopefully the price is reasonable and it's a decent size and weight!

I purchased the 24 Art and iq wise I’m really pleased. Weight wise it is kinda big but still manageable. It’s the same size as my 24-70 f2.8 mk2.

F1.4 for me is worth the added weight.

I shoot everything in compressed raw. Cant really see the difference between compressed and uncompressed

Thanks for confirming this to me. The file size difference is huge. it doubles on the uncompressed raw. it slows down my computer.

Why not shoot raw to both slots? And why only use the most expensive cards? The regular UhS-I cards are plenty fast, I never had an issue with them being too slow.

i currently have two 128GB. UHS-1 and UHS-II, i will use them on slot 1 to both A7R3(i will have 2 R3 that day), and I will use 64GB on both slot 2. I don't wanna buy a couple more 128GB

How about this...run both 128 GB in one body, and in the one you feel you will use les sin the day run the two 64, that way you don't fill the main card and run into the backup card being full? Seems to me that it would be a waste to have JPEG's as your backup. And it realyl isn't that hard to switch out cards if the 64's get full. There are good times throughout a wedding to just swap them even if they are not full. Just my perspective...I would hate to run out of memory, and have only jpeg as a backup if one card fails...

I was at first then I saw the size and I wasn’t, then I started thinking about it again but ended up picking up a rx1rii so I’m sorted for a 35 f/2 now

been running 128's for the longest time, never get shortage anxiety even when shooting a lot of footage.

now that they run dual slots, I'm stress free in terms of memory. Probably not a good idea to run multiple day excursions, but certainly good enough even the most demanding days doing multiple time lapses and videos.

Yeah I run dual 128gb both recording raw when shooting weddings. 128gb is enough to get through the day. I think there's more risk to losing photos when swapping cards..very hard to lose a card when its inside the camera =). Also data corruption tends to happen when you remove/eject media while writing, so theres more chance of that happening if you're swapping cards mid shoot.

Very nice Travis. I like the motion of the water in the foreground.
