will you be shooting in burst on some occasions?

I ask because the 95mbs would be slow if you do (for me at least). even the 100 write was slow (my 2nd https://www.bhphotovideo.com …/sony_sf_m128_t_sony.html (external link)). my main is the 300/299 mbs. really wish sony did qxd cards for mirrorless as they are faster and a little cheaper.

testing my 16-35F4 that I might use in the ceremony.

look how clean when you do ETTR

shot at Aperture Priority @ F4 handheld and +3EC on the EC Dial. turns out 1/40sec ISO25600

I went -2 on lightroom's exposure slider

very clean

I shoot everything in compressed raw. Cant really see the difference between compressed and uncompressed

for events compressed works fine. heck we were pleased with the original a7 :P

uncompressed for landscapes is a plus though. of course it's not limited to landscapes

nope. With experience I'm more selective in my shots now unlike when i started when I was trigger happy.

Experiment again.

Loving this settings now. this may become my goto settings now and just control the flash power when needed on or off camera. and also control the aperture to the DOF i like.

Aperture priority + Highlight Priority(metering mode) + +3EC + On-camera speedlight TTL @ +.3 on HSS

This is SOOC. it really protects the very bright sky even at +3EC. to my eyes that sky are close to white. not even that blue, it's more on gray.

You need to to +3EC otherwise it's going to be dark.

the background exposure is also perfect for my taste, a bit darker.

Very nice Travis. I like the motion of the water in the foreground.

thanks Alfredo. I liked those streaks of water as they receeded...

The ones you posted look legit..but for all, beware of Amazon and SanDisk cards...there are fakes out there, if you get them and the little write protect tab is yellow, or they seem to run really slow...they are fake...a friend got bit by that recently...

I guess I am over carded then...I carry something like 8 64GB cards and 4 32 GB cards with me...If I am shooting an event or a session and have the need to change cards, I find a time to do that before I get close to full and am overly cautious about it and keep them in a secure case so they don't get lost or damaged...

if it weighs like the Batis 18..... I would consider it.... or simply hold out just a little bit for a true 35 f2.

That would be amazing if it weighs the same as the Batis 18mm but I'm not sure how likely that is.

I was thinking of that too but there isn't too much difference in FL with 40mm and you can get a little bit more subject isolation.

AlanU wrote in post #18677129 (external link)
I purchased the 24 Art and iq wise I’m really pleased. Weight wise it is kinda big but still manageable. It’s the same size as my 24-70 f2.8 mk2.

F1.4 for me is worth the added weight.

That's the same weight as the 35mm Art and my Canon 16-35mm which I personally consider to be too heavy for a walk around lens. I would like f/1.4 as well but when I think hard about it the portability is probably the most important factor and f/2 is still pretty decent.

xpfloyd wrote in post #18677157 (external link)
I was at first then I saw the size and I wasn’t, then I started thinking about it again but ended up picking up a rx1rii so I’m sorted for a 35 f/2 now

It will be interesting the IQ it provides considering its size.

I thought the batis 40 weight and dimensions were already known/leaked? I’m sure I read them somewhere?

hey eddie, first impression on the protactic bag? thought I would move away from lowepro bags, but I'm intrigued by all the attachment points.

I looked around and couldn't find a weight anywhere. The fact that it's a 67mm filter thread makes me hope it's a similar size and weight to my Canon 35mm f/2 IS, then I'll definitely get it.
