hey eddie, first impression on the protactic bag? thought I would move away from lowepro bags, but I'm intrigued by all the attachment points.

Charlie, so far im impressed. I bought the 350 model which is the perfect size for all my gear. I am on a trip just now with it and whilst it holds all my kit it doesnt feel bulky. It also holds my tripod well even though I have an Induro CT313 tripod (big!). I meant to post a pic of it loaded and forgot, ill make a point of doing that tomorrow to show you. My favourite bit about it is that it opens on the side too so I can swing the bag down from my back until its hooked on my mid arm/elbow and with the other hand quickly unzip the side pocket and remove the camera. Really versitile

Im on a trip just now and arrived today at the isle of Man (for those that dont know - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man (external link)). Theres a new moon next Saturday and this island has many dark sky locations so I am hoping for some clear skies at one point. Had a few beers tonight so didnt head out in search but took this a minute ago out the back of the cottage we are staying in. Hopefully get something a bit better as the week goes on but just happy to see stars to be honest!

thanks, I saw the side pocket, which I liked, but afraid that the whole system might be floppy with so many parts. Will probably use backpacks again once I get a drone :-)

Hmmm, this one looks a bit off to me. I normally don't edit my images in the morning but I did it for this image. I'll give it another go tomorrow night and compare the results.

An amazing looking place. I think if I were to step on those grounds, I'd feel like I'd been transported back a hundred years.

Gene, yes it’s a wonderful place. I hope you get the opportunity to come visit.

the add on sections are really solid. The whole back is Velcro and doubled over so they don’t move. You will see what I mean when you see the size of my tripod attached

^^^ I'm not usually a fan of plain, gradient skies but I think in this instance it works. For me at least.

Weather was a bit iffy Monday morning with the forecast improving. Decided to give the beach a miss & went to Tyneham Village - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyneham (external link) - Only a small place in itself but the drive through all the open, barren land which is within the military area was awesome [Sort of made me wish I was in the weekend car!!] A mile or so walk leads down to Worbarrow Bay which is where we sat & had lunch & I had a wander around with the camera..... :)

You know what it's like with these exposures & waves..... I took about 5 shots & this is a blend of the best sky & the best sea......

Today's Carbs and Coffee I lugged my Fuji X-t2 and A7iii with adapted 16-35 f/2.8mk2.

I'm starting to itch for another A7iii or perhaps A7Riii. In the meantime I'm just pushing myself in to learning how to adapt my style with Sony. Canon is simply dialed in perfectly for hired events for "humans" :) as for my cars I'm actually really enjoying Sony alot.

The first thing that came to my mind was "Wow, that cliff in the back looks like Rabbit Island on Oahu, Hawaii."

I was finally able to put my ship model that got damaged in "dry dock" for repair. I was able to put things back almost 100%.

Here's the before and after...

Thank you Lee. I agree with you on the sky. I would have preferred clouds that morning.

Awesome image! Very dramatic.

90F in the city. We headed up to Balsam Mountain Campground; one of the highest campgrounds east of the Miss. River.
Woke up yesterday and this morning at 53F. Cycled both days in the cool air. This shot from Watterrock about 10 miles
from where we camped.
Using the dinky little Samyang 24mm F2.8=a great little lens when you are on foot or bicycle-
