I love my Peak 5L.

i can fit another lens and my Godox TT350. I always love to have a speedlight in case of backlit situation.

I can fit the Sony 12-24 + Tamron 28-75 + TT350 along with peak pro clip on my hip, and I'm in good shape. Circular filters where the tablet goes if necessary.

Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

well the best for travel really is the 24-105 to me for that extra range that we needed sometimes. i just need the 18-22mm range in FL for my RE gigs.

Like you guys, I have shifted to an almost all zoom travel kit. My recent cruise in Alaska, I had the 24-105L and the 100-400L. The 24-105 was mostly on the MC-11 on the Sony. Occasionally I put the 35/2.8 on the Sony to put the 24-105 on the Canon. Having 2 cameras with 24-800mm (I had the 2x) covered was really ideal. No lens changes. Monopod on the 100-400 when I had the 2x on it. 100-400 native I was ok with handheld. But when you get home and go through everything, I've currently got the trip down to 218 images. Of those, 165 were with the 24-105. Next most was 30 with the 100-400 + 2x.

I don't know Bob's uncle, but to me it's the bees knees.

Yes two bodies and 24-800, really is remarkable and top IQ throughout that range.

I'm keeping the idea of the FE24-105 in the corner of my mind ;) I think it would be perfect for landscape in all honesty.

ps Back when I had the 5D2/24-105L in 2010-11 I was a wide angle person - I swapped the lens out for the 17-40L - Right now, I think the 24-105mm range would be idea. I see lots of gorgeous landscapes with the 100-400mm type lens too but I just don't go to those type of places [or have anywhere near] where I think they'd be useful.

Last night when I was setting up the image of the Peak Design 5L sling I had the 24-105 in one hand and the Tam 28-75 in the other. I think for someone who is 99% shooting outside
I think the 24-105 is the best choice, and unless I'm shooting a piece of kit to sell or a bug in the studio I'm mostly shooting outside. I think you are too Lee.

This weekend I put the Peak Design Capture clip on the outside of the Peak Design 5L sling. There is a place made just for it on the sling bag.
I then put on a Lumix GM-5 with an Oly 30mm macro. Had the Riii + 70-300G inside plus the Tam 24/2.8 and the Zony 25/2.8.
Only problem was I forgot a charged battery for the little Lumix :(

I currently don’t use a light in my office while editing. This light will help. It’s dimmable.

I see. thanks

lights off, I used to do that and that's how I ruined my eyes. without getting into technical details, your eyes will focus on the one light (screen) and can stress out your eyes. I keep the lights on when I use the computer now. Only time id have the lights off is when watching movie on a bigger screen.

i love primes but on a roadtrip on a harsh condition areas, i don't like changing lenses. We were at Point Reyes Lighthouse yesterday and it was breezy, not a good idea to change lens.

BTW if you haven't been there(Point Reyes), it's a must if you are in Cali imo.

dang thats far up north. was hoping closer lol

I'm glad others agree with my thinking ;) I'm in no urgent rush but my current GAS [I rarely use that word!] is A7iii vs FE24-105 ;-)a

I do have a little interest in the Batis 40 still but that's sat further at the back of my mind.

yes, I love it for quick use, but I do carry the pro pad, which is awesome and flat. When I have that little bit of extra time, 9/10 times, I'll use the pro pad. on my belt

Tamron is coming out with a 17-35 f2.8-4 lens. Shorter and lighter than the FE 16-35 f4 (not by much though). I hope they consider releasing an FE mount version
