Love it! Great job Carlo. You can add a bit of noise to the sky to avoid banding.

So add noise to get rid of the banding?

I denoised it but looks like I should have gone the other way?

Either way...it seems uncompressed is the way to go when shooting wide angle portraits outdoors.

Yep, just add a bit of noise and then mask it into the sky. It should help.

K cool.

Banding is coming from detail extractor in Nik.

Probably should mask the sky before I run that.

Some awesome shots in the thread recently. Great job guys.

My new site is almost ready. Just need to update my profile page and make some adjustments to the commissions page and pair down my portfolio images under "Home".

Btw, "alfredomora.com" was already taken.

yes... menu 2 number/page 7

Live View Display = off

I'm late to the party but I thought I'd mention that my a7rIII came with the custom button C1 set as a toggle for Live View Effects ON/OFF right out of the box I believe. You might check to see if yours is already set up that way too.

Woohoo! Thanks David! I’m researching how to add custom CSS so I can make my site a bit more custom instead of a template.

thanks,

.. struggling to figure out the ef35 1.4 mkii on sony with lighting..

sometimes it acts as native.. other times theres a 2 second delay from press of shutter button to shot being taken.. and so I just wait holding camera still.. sometimes focus is good others its not..
need to spend more time testing .. to see which setting work..
or just go all native:rolleyes:

Love this pic ,, but it is soft

Yeah that particular modifier is bad for skies. If I ever use that one it is always on it's own and masked as a layer for the specific place I want it.

Corfe Castle from the other side looking more Easterly.

The Swanage road out of the village leads from centre frame out to the right. The previous shot I posted looking up to the remains was taken from the grounds of the church next to the road.

Good looking Gallery Alfredo. I really like the juxtaposition of modern and vintage architecture on the home page.
