Excuse the photo dump but it was Callums first day of primary school on Thursday. Where did the time go!!!

With regards to gear im really liking flipping between 35mm on the rx1rii and 85mm on the batis in these type of scenarios

Awesome Eddie.

ON the other hand.

I am so unsure of this Tamron 28-75 2.8 I cannot get it to focus where or when I want but then I question if it is me or does it just have a razor thin 2.8 hyperfocal?

My old favorite canon lens the 100 L was stellar once I learned it but it had a razor thin focal point. Anyone else with this lens fight with it at 2.8?? I love its ergonomics and if appears to focus fast just not always on what I want or where.

I know I'm talking a different league, but I get this from time to time with the FE2870. It's very frustrating! The majority of shots I'm more than happy with, then I get the odd few that are just mush.....

I did go to the effort of testing it a little and I found it sharpest at around f/7.1 - f/9

Eriet you motivated me to pop the TamFE2875 onto the a9.
Only willing subject was my youngest, Rollo.
Shooting in a not so greatly lit room. Small green square on his right eye.
Nailed it as far as I can tell.
Not my focal length, but I like this lens. I even like the build quality.
I'm not a 'pet' photographer, but think the only thing really wrong was
ISO 5000 but shutter was scary slow already.
I think for size/wt/cost this lens is another winner.
But if Tam can do this why am I waiting on the Sony FE 200-600, Tam
should already have the FE 150-600 out!

Has anyone seen/got the Huawei P20 Pro phone? It has a triple Leica lens camera producing 40MP photos. My mate in work has one and I saw it today for the first time. I must say I’m majorly impressed. I have an iPhone but this thing blows my iPhone 5s out the water and it’s reasonably priced too (I appreciate I have an older iPhone)

yesterday I found myself caught up on client image editing for the first time in a while...and since I was caught up, I updated all of my programs at home...PSCC, NIK, Lumenzia...and decided to have a go at editing this image from last year...last year I could not get the selections right using RayaPro or the TKActions panel. Since then, I have started using Lumenzia and it handled it much better...it is a blend, foreground was 2 minutes at ISO 1600, the sky was 20 seconds at f/2.8 and ISO 3200. That tree was the problem!

It's an interesting us of multiple cameras. That third camera is a high sensitivity bw sensor that is used to improve the high iso performance of the phone.

Really cool what is possible with these multi lens smartphones.

I think they've just begun to add lenses to smartphones.

A shot for Eddie.
We found over 1.7 years of campervan travel (28K miles) that water has been our limiting reagent.
On the NL trip we ate out of the frig-freezer for a week without resupply; in fact on the whole trip we
ate in a restaurant only twice because we wanted to try Cod tongue.
So we've added 20 gallons in an area we noticed was little used or had items that are easily placed
elsewhere.
I used more 80/20 underneath for insurance. We did an hour test drive yesterday evening to the macro
venue to test for 'slosh leaks' and all was good.

Included an image from Sketchup. I use it for visual mock ups when selling an idea to Poof.

We're now up to 30 gallons (kept our original 10 gallon tank, the new one just gravity feeds to it) during the
cold months, and in the warm months we can use the RoadShower as well for 7-9 more gallons

If that were my shot the eye would be sharp but the hair above that is in focus in your shot would be mush in my shot. I get like a pinpoint in sharp focus the rest deteriorates but wall shots dont look horrible its the subject shots that are bad. I have asked them for an exchange.

Did you B/H it, or Adorama it ?
Simple exchange for hopefully a better copy.
LIke I said not my focal length but I just put the Tam27-75 in the bottom of the Peak Design 5L sling
and the A7Riii+70-300G on top. I do love its size for a concise kit like that.
Hey weather sealed too, nice.
Yep you will be way way happier with a good copy.

I once almost bought those.. or some very similar.
As a street shooter(or used to be primarily) i thought they could be useful.. but if i recall correctly i still had to press the side of the glasses, i was hoping for some sort of hand held control..

Speaking of street ..
I made the mistake of watching a leica Q video 2 days ago.
And now ive been watching/searching videos and reviews obsessively..
Comparable to the rx1 r2..

Trying to figure out whar i can sell :-|

Of course If.. and that is a big if.. i did go for it , it would be a secondary camera as it is a fixed l3ns
