My copy would not have been able to do that. Thanks for the validation love these..... but what is all that green?? I live in the land of brown

Eriet I live in a temperate rain forest, so far this month 8.5 inches of rain. 102 out of last 233 days have rained.....and the rain is hard.....and to think I keep trying
for Milky Way here. Wettest day in May we 5.3 inches of rain. In August 2.7 inches. Often feels like Juneau except we'll hit -10F this winter and Juneau will barely go below freezing.

Glad you're getting another copy. I think I lucked out again.

What in the world is all this talk about focusing issues?

I lent the lens to a shooting buddy of mine to capture my family event over the weekend. He didn’t have any trouble Using the lens, his first time.

Pretty sure the lens is optically stronger than the 24-70 VC in EF mount, very nice for indoors, basically a super nice point and shoot.

Looks like zeiss is making their own fixed lens ff camera. I really miss the rx1rii and intend to get another one day. But if the price is right on the zeiss I might consider that as well.

I need my eye AF though

This is a three shot panorama of my 20 year old plus computer desk. It's a wreck but I've never found another one like it that's "L" shaped with shelves on both sides. I have a ton of storage space and don't know how I would get along with anything less. On the left is one of my scanners, an Epson 4490 Photo. The other, an Epson GT 15000, is on a separate table to the right 'off screen' and scans full sized legal documents. On the right of the monitor is one of my printers, a Canon Pixma iP6700D. The other, a Canon Pro-100, is in the den and connected through my network. My 27" monitor fits nicely in the corner and the backlit keyboard slides out for easy access.

When I'm editing, I usually have the light on the left of the monitor off too. I like to keep my computer room dark...it helps to hide the flaws of my old desk. ;-)a

Forgot one from this afternoon.
Eriet, notice the green 'wall' in front of the car (Gene this is my poor
man's Caddy :)
The green wall is rhododendron/laurel and the thickets completely surround
the cabin for what seems forever. It is very very difficult for man to walk
through them-often I've crawled through (with Ruger in hand). Ironically
the deer and bear can cruise through it like it's not even there.
Travis would like it when the blooms hit, but the blooms are very light pink and not
the wonderful deep pink of the Roan highlands 2200 feet higher and 3.5 miles away.

Focus point on driver's tail light.

I haven't had it for too long. It's the Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard. I use the recordable keys on the left side for a few repetitive keyboard tasks, particularly in PS. It's like recording an action. :-)

Nikon's upcoming mirrorless cameras look solid. No specs on them yet, but I'm sure they'll be capable cameras.

No GAS from me though. Sony does everything I need now.

The ONLY thing that has me jelly is that Nikon is launching with a 35mm f1.8 prime! C'mon Sony!

Off topic here but I'm looking for some help from my fellow Sony shooters here.

My new computer will have Windows 10 Pro installed. My question is should I set it up using a Microsoft account or a local account? How have you set yours up?

Thanks!

So you do have an MS account rather than a local one I assume. I do have an MS account associated with my Win 8.1 laptop but am debating whether I want to do the same when I set up my new Win 10 desktop. I'll probably go ahead and use my existing MS account and password, I know now that I can disable the login screen when Windows opens at least.
