I too ordered the Mavic 2 Pro this morning (with fly more kit). I didn't get the DJI refresh this time, just because I never had to use them for my previous birds. But for first timers and from my previous experience, I think it gives a true peace of mind. I ordered with Advexure, where I previously ordered the original Mavic Pro and P4P from. They are local and charge tax, but they will refund the taxes back to me to match against DJI, BH, and all other retailers. I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. When I bought my P4P in 2016, they even gave me a high capacity battery for free (i think the cost was $169 or more at the time and kinda hard to find) for being a return customer. Top notch customer service and always willing to work with the customers. Anyways, can't wait until I get my hands on it. I really missed flying.. more than taking photos/videos..

Nikon is running with a DSLR battery, but the life is very bad, so that would make me believe that the chipset is very poor and old tech. 10-15 minute video spec is really poor, possibly worst I've read.

They seem really weak from a processing standpoint. Can only do 5.5 fps with autoexposure enabled. That's pretty much on par with the a7rII. Buffer is only 24 compressed shots. a7rIII is 76 shots, so triple that.

Specs look good, but I think these things operationally a generation behind Sony.

l've been telling people on FB. if you come to compete, at least match or surpass your target competition. when the RIII was released, they should had went back to the drawing table. apparently not.

congrats, going to wait it out a few months, since I also want the DJI care plan, and I wont be using it anytime soon, so I'de be burning up the warranty for nothing. Maybe once my son starts to sleep through the night, and I know I can start shooting again, I'll snatch one up

looking to get the exact same combo, and already have funds in my PP account. Tricky part is to hold off on purchases while waiting it out , burnt some of my budget on sliders and motion timelapse tools

doesnt help that I still want an A9

I depleted my PayPal account buying a car....well the down payment anyway...flying out to get it tomorrow.

Well, except for installing a lot more programs, I'm making good progress hardware wise. I went ahead and moved both drives from my old computer to my new one. I'll pick up another secondary hdd for my old one so I have at least some storage space there.

I just installed Photoshop/Bridge but haven't had a chance to edit an image in my new environment. I'll give that a try later.
