I think I'm beginning to like my new Windows 10 Pro computer.

I've even got the start menu looking better. That happened when I got synced to my MS account. :p

The background is one I took in Eastern Arizona a few years ago. The sky is a composite. :-)

Very sad day.

Had to pack up 2 of my dear friends and say goodbye. Luckily they stay together and will probably finally be used more. I know I am going to regret selling them but alas GAS has to be satisfied.

FE28 and FE55 off to a new home.

Is CV short for Voigtlander?
If so this is the bokeh test of the CV 40/1.2 that arrived today.
Noticed that the focal plane is very narrow/fine.

Thanks. I really don't use it, I just downloaded it along with a few other utilities. I'll be deleting it soon.

Hopefully, this won't get lost in all the camera/drone news but...

I had forgotten about this essential item until I began setting up my new computer. For those of you that aren't aware of it, this is a codec pack that allows your raw thumbnails to be visible in your Windows Explorer folders instead of just an ARW or PSD icon. This is the 3rd computer I've installed in on and can't imagine not being able to see the thumbnails of my psd files or raw files while viewing a folder in Explorer.

Here's the link to the software if anyone wants to check it out. The price is $9.99

https://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/ (external link)

Sony has some software that will also allow you to do this (ARW Files) for free.

Shout out and thanks to Gene for the link to the $10 raw viewing in Windows Explorer.
Works a charm, instant-easy download/install.

Thanks. It's the only set of codecs I've found that resolved the issue of those missing thumbnails. I also have the free fix for viewing the thumbnail images on your Adobe pdf files too if anyone is interested.

you guys and you're fancy cars, I'de love to get a Sprinter to replace my minivan, something similar to Medicineman's RV :-P

Poof and I're just not car people. Tools to get the job done eh. Many frown at my dinky little Sonic; in fact my co-worker who has way more money in his pickup than we do in our campervan says he could put my Sonic in the pickup bed....well he could :) But I can drive 23 miles to and from work for 7 nights on one tank of gas via the Sonic, def. a tool.
But I can appreciate the beauty of finally crafted cars like Travis' new Stang....

I'll download that one in the a.m. when I get home; looks to be another useful tool Gene, thanks.
Also woot on so much progress you've made on the switcharoo to the new PC powerhouse.

My car days are well behind me. I like building stuff, and fairly knowledgeable with cars, enough to overhaul an engine, change it brakes and rotors, ECT.

I would get into trucks since I have a small construction background, but when my kids grow.

On topic of drone, I've been stressing over the pro and zoom, tough choice as I would likely favor video in a drone. For photos, the pro is very....
