Lost my zeal for drones in general.
All the places I'd want to fly (national park type venues) they are now illegal.
Most state parks too, and national monuments. Even in a national forest in Montana
I was asked not to fly. In Newfoundland, well the wind was way beyond the capability
of my Spark.

2015 Mustang GT Premium, With Performance Pack and 50th Anniversary Pack.

I am at heart, a car guy, and I never keep a car for more than 3 or 4 years...I had an RX-8 that I kept for 9 years from brand new...then I bought the Mini...and while it was fun, it was never really what I wanted...I have had it for 5 years, and I have had the itch for a new ride since last year, and have wrestled with a ton of different ideas...I could not bring myself to buy an SUV, I thought about a 3 Series Wagon, but can't get one with a manual transmission...I have liked the new 6th Gen Mustang since it debuted in 2014 at the AutoShow...saw it at the New York show...and it has always been there in my mind...I figured now was a good time in life to buy something like that...to have that experience...I am sure there will be too many photos coming soon...

congrats on the new wheels Travis! I wasn’t expecting to like the auto box in my 3 series wagon as much as I do but now feel like I wouldn’t want to go back to manual if I can avoid it. It’s got flappy paddles too but after the initial novelty of that wore off I don’t even bother with it. You can put the transmission in sports mode and set the car to sports mode too and it becomes really responsive so it’s a lot of fun to drive. I got it remapped too so it’s now at 375bhp.

Is CV short for Voigtlander?
If so this is the bokeh test of the CV 40/1.2 that arrived today.
Noticed that the focal plane is very narrow/fine.

Lovely images!!

CV = Cosina Voigtlander

I was never a fan of 'autos' but with a bit of power & a bit more modern they are pretty good aren't they.... My best mate has an Audi A6 3.2 Quattro auto & it is nice to drive & does pull well in Sport mode. Another mate has an older BMW 645 (I think) 4.4 V8?? & that is pretty quiet & refined at normal driving but is pretty quick once it gets going for a big car!! Our mechanic has a Bentley Continental W12 (previously Chrysler C300? 6.1 V8 I think that was, Maserati Quattroporte, Porsche Cayenne ......)

Of course, none of them leave the lights quicker than the 47 year old Escort :-P:lol::-P:mrgreen:

Can’t wait to see the pictures. I love my 16 convertible. Performance Pack manual. Mine is strictly a fair weather pleasure car. I bought it new in April of 17 and I’m approaching 7000 miles. Mine has a nice little story (external link)behind it...

Nice car and cool story. 700bhp though!! What sort of 0-60 time is that capable of then?

It is bone stock. It was to be converted but never was. Sticker was 45k. I got it for 33,800 with 6 miles on the clock. :-D

As it happens, the dealer is 10 miles from my house. I was driving home from Essex Engine Plant, where they make the 5.0. I was there commissioning the assmbly line for the 2018 model cylinder heads (the dual injection heads). I see a sign that says “2016 Mustang - 34,995”. Got home and started looking into them. Next day there was one in my garage.

A couple shots of my other main hobby. Wife and kids have been away all week, so I've had time to put a few finishing touches on it.

Home audio / Theater is my other hobby as well. You really should consider some sound treatments. The difference is pretty substantial. I've been into sound acoustics, recording studio design for the past 18 years.

That’s the next thing I’m planning to look into.
