My first edit on my new computer. Holy Moley, I'd forgotten how many fonts, brushes, plugins, and filters I had installed on my old machine. I've still got a lot of work ahead of me.

I wish I had the kind of background colors MM has for his hummer shots but it's been so dry here...

Too many awesome shots! Couple of favorites---where your daughter is feeding cake to your son! And the fire breathing dragon
actually shocked me! The candle-bag scene with you and the Mrs. very very nice. Wonderful memories captured AND killer
photography.

I had a few days holiday to use up & the other/better half has recently started a new job (still at the hospital but in Dermatology rather than on a 24/7 ward so now works 4 days out of 5 Mon-Fri only :) Yessss!! No more weekends, bank holidays, nights.....) so we decided on a relatively local little hike as it's been a while! As it turned out, her daughter was at a loose end for the day so she tagged along also. I sort-of knew the area & I wasn't expecting much photo-opportunity wise so a few snapshots with the A7 & CV40/1.4

I love the patchwork quilt look to the farmlands in the background.

Leaves already falling up at the cabin. Here
in the city 4-5 weeks behind. Must get bugs now,
soon to be gone.

The whole area is pretty much like it. We're lucky that we live in a reasonably sized city (for the UK) but the countryside is literally 15 minutes drive away!!

We are about 30 minutes from the nearest coastline. This place is about 1hr 15mins because it's a bit of a pain to get to with no real direct roads as such. The only trouble is, because we are in a big estuary, the water is very brown & muddy. Sometimes it looks awful  Other times depending on the sky/sunset it looks bloody lovely :)

We have had a very dry & hot past month or two (compared to normal) but have had a bit of rain more lately yes. Today has been non-stop  Just eased off now as it's getting dark

I can't bring myself to sell my Canon gear. In part because I think I'd end up divorced...

I love traveling with the 35/2.8. What a great little lens. Travel for me has turned to small. I like going with the 24-105 on the 5D4 and the 35 on the Sony.

Room looks great. I can relate to having kid stuff everywhere. What in-walls are those? They look just like the JBL's I have. I have (4) 8" in-walls in my family room and (2) 6" for surrounds in the theater. The 8's in the family room really impress me. I got them so we wouldn't have big bulky speakers and not really caring about sound - but they sound fantastic!

Ya'll need to up your game on the theater stuff.
