Picked up a gently-used A-mount Zeiss 50 1.4 SSM for just over $600 shipped.
Lots of deals to be had on e-mount as well.

I upload a 2048 to Flickr then post bbcode for a 1600 here and never get the filesize warning. It’s a strange one and I don’t know why it would be happening Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Perhaps it's my poor eyesight or the fact that I don't normally study someone's face with as much scrutiny as I might here but I don't see that much skin texture when I see someone face to face while conversing for example. To my eye, smoother would be more attractive. Just how much smoother probably depends on the person doing the viewing. noted Gene. | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift

Lots of local history but probably most famous for being the location for filming the video for Bryan Adams' hit Everything I Do........ ![]() *** EDIT - does anyone else find that a 1600 wide image is too big a filesize for here or is it just me....?? I do. Heck even 1024 lol. When I post portrait mode I do 600x800 something like that.

When I upload to Flickr, I've already sized my image to be 2048px on the long side but save as a jpg at full quality (12) in PS CC. That puts the file size around 2mb. When I want to share, I click on the curved arrow that opens the dialoge where I select BBCode and choose the Large image size. If I open my "Download this Image" and select the 1600 x 1280 preset, the downloaded image is in about the 756kb range, give or take. xpfloyd wrote in post #18695222 Lee , I’ve noticed that with your images and meant to ask you about it. Maybe the 1600 'large' link is a smaller file size for the same size image....!??

It's not a problem as such but when it displays in the preview as you are typing, then you 'post' and find it isn't displaying..... Reopening Flickr, copy the other link, edit the post on here.... Like I say, not the end of the world, but a pain none the less ![]() Yeah could be something to do with “original” vs “1600” even though they are both the same pixel size Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV
