Love your Milky Ways Eddie.
I've got that same lens, EOS right? I need to use it someday on one of the Sonys.

Thanks Robert, yeah it’s the EOS version. I keep a dumb adaptor permanently attached and use it solely for night photography

I am probably in the minority on this, but I much preferred the original. This one looks like a mannequin or CG...too smooth and makes her not look real, and she is stunning in her own skin, so why make it look fake?

Maybe Gene, the new monitor is exaggerating texture?

Talley wrote in post #18695619 (external link)
original is better imho. I always felt texture to be good in woman :p

I"m sure it must be just me. The only time I recall looking at a woman where her skin texture was as noticeable as the original was if they had poor complexion and tried to hide it with too much makeup or their face was shiny from perspiration which increased contrast. I can still see texture in the revised version but it is subtle and not the first thing I notice.

I would expect to see more texture on a male of course.

I always find skin texture a struggle ,, or finding a right balance of it.. especially now with the 7r3, the amount of detail is insane especially on head shots.
every pore and crevice is brought to life.
and then theres the fact the there are no Pro makeup artist at my sessions :p

so of course the girls do their own thing and some of them layer it on thick in order to hide acne/scars

the struggle is real;-)a

The A7s3 HAS to have PDAF for stills and video.

it really should have an articulating screen

it should have 16mp at minimum

it should downsample in both FF and crop modes.

and of course 4K 60 internal with at least a few minutes of recording in that mode.

dual UHS-ii cards and 200mbps bitrate in video (for 4K60).

at least double the electronic readout of the R3 to reduce rolling shutter.

I think it would have to hit every one of these marks for me, and I'de be pretty happy to buy one!

hoping you are right on the PDAF!

Spent quite a bit of time back home in Portugal this summer and I was hoping to get atleast a few days with interesting cloud formations but it didn't really pan out. One of the few days where their was some interest in the daylight skies.
