I just discovered this Reserve Collection Copper Lager made by Budweiser in collaboration with Jim Beam.

I give it a big thumbs-up! ♥

As Nice as the 35/85 1.4 combo is for portraits and for family events.. it isn't always fun to carry on more casual days, and so I usually just don't bring the a7r3.
Also,, not to make excuses, some times I want to bring the camera to work so I can try and get a shot for the weekly challenge either on my way to work or on my way home.. but again, too much weight in my bag to be carrying all day

so Finally , I put together my "travel light" combo, 2 lenses i've owned before. Purchased from one of our brothers here in the Sony lounge.,, thank you eriet

I really forgot how small and light the 55 1.8 is..

My keep it small and light kit..

and then theres the 90mac.. I guess it belongs with the small kit.. when I think ill need the extra reach

I do have a little vacation to cancun coming in a month.. i'll probably opt of the 28,55,90 and leave the 1.4 primes at home

I have another "bigger" vacation in February , Probably to Greece.. for that trip i'd like to have a zoom.. I want that 24-70 Gm.. but damn that price makes the 24-105 look like a better choice:lol:

SR app with the FE 16-35 GM. I was hoping the island and boats in the background would catch some light but it didn't happen.

You should give the SY or Sony 35 f2.8 a try. That along with the lowepro dashpoint 30, and you can get something that you can clip on your belt. IMO, great for casual dinners and outings in general. It nearly disappears into your body, and so nice to have in a pinch.

Downside is a neck strap would feel cramped in the bag, no room for spare anything, best used with a minimal wrist strap

More specs on the rf lenses out.

Long sorry short...RF 50 1.2 is larger than the EF 50L.

28-70 f2 is massive. Over 3 lbs!

Heavier than the Sony 100-400!!!

Good effort by Canon for attempting to break conventions.

The 50 is heavy and bigger than the 24-105.

The large throat theory peeling away.

Yes. More lenses made for marketing hype that end up unreasonably huge and likely expensive

I'm sorry but Tamron hit the perfect button with the 28-75 2.8. Lightweight and perfectly balanced. Just what you want in a body like this.

It's just not worth trading that out for a 3lb F2 zoom lens.... this is pure marketing and Canon waited for Nikon to release and now they going to poop all over them and put a nail in the coffin for any more canon->sony swaps with this release.

Sony will respond :) I'm ready for it.

I have never ever sent a lens back. I am not one to test for decenterd etc. But my first copy of the Tamron 28-75 was not solid it was best described as weird.

I was really worried that I had made a bad decision but sent it back for an exchange.

Well......

I am glad I did this was a way better day with this lens

Wonderful results Eriet. I'm happy you're happy now. Remember I had to do the firmware update to get happy. At this point with the Tam275 I can find no negatives. The weight is the selling point for me, the bonus is pin sharp as attested by your dragonfly, just wish they'd do me a 150-600 in FE.

Yeah when I heard that nikon was releasing a 58mm r .95 and canon had a 28-75 f2 my first reaction was to wonder why sony hadn't made equivalent lenses...then I saw the dimensions on those lenses and I started to realize why.

I think the tamron 28-75 is the right balance for a zoom. If I want those fast apertures, f1.4 primes and dual bodies if necessary is the way to go.
