Blue.. It's a cold scene. Blue raincoat ;-)a Red is for the autumn season :mrgreen:

I prefer colour btw. But I more so prefer the wide shot. Lovely :-)

 good to know about the rain coat protocol.

Thanks Lee. I have a few more compositions to edit showing the stream.

Just a small taste of shooting again, and it feels good. First time "out", since the baby, and I had a late start because the Cops were treating me like a kid.........

Very short timelapse due to the battery dying......

So this Canon EOS R body as it turns out only does 5fps in servo mode.

Toccoa Falls in northern Georgia. "Toccoa" means beautiful in Cherokee. This is a close up shot of the Falls as it comes crashing down from 186 ft. I am working on the wider shots next.

I couldn't decide if I preferred the color or black and white version so I posted both.

Color version for me. This shot very reminiscient of Iceland.

I also read that -6ev AF is with the 50mm f/1.2 lens so not sure what the actual AF sensitivity is.

Canon jumped into ML (this time, again) stronger than last time (M5) but landed 2-3 gens behind Sony.

That said I revere my 400DOii enough I could dedicate a body just for it--but a couple of EOS ML gens down the road. In those same years Sony might give up a 400 I can heft. In the meantime I'm sipping the Nikon Koolaid with their PF lense and maybe be lenses (currently studying the 300PF too).

By then Nikon's lackluster stab at it will have improved too I'd hope but the new rule in my house is no more adapters. No need to really, the MC-11 on the DOii and a9 is freaky good now.

Still rumors on the Sony 200-500, maybe at Photokina, maybe before. It would have to be truly amazing to beat what I've gotten via the 100400GM even with 2.0TC.

I even doubt the a7000 will break with the rangefinder style.

What I'm gassing for more than anything else is an a9 with a crop sensor.
Is that too much to ask?
I'm doing the D500+500/300PF as a plan B really, getting a crop body that isn't
a6300 or a6500 like, if a true mini-a9 is issued I'd drop the Nikon experiment like
a rock.

Sony rates theirs at F2. At F2, EOS R is around -5EV.

uh...

"With the USB Power Adapter PD-E1, in-camera charging of LP-E6N is possible but LP-E6 cannot be
charged. The USB Power Adapter PD-E1 is not compatible with powering the camera."

"In-camera charging: although it is compatible with USB Type-C (5V/1.5A) equivalent, do not charge
the camera other than with the USB Power Adapter PD-E1."

I can tell you I like the ability to use the A7's with a standard usb charger/cord without having to buy some special adapter to do so. I also like the fact that I can power the camera up via USB too. When I shot our dance studio recital last June I used a 13,000mah battery bank and usb cord into the camera and after the entire day the internal battery only dropped to 79%. I thought that was pretty good and the battery pack only went down to 75%. My wife used her battery pack at school the other day to charge her A7iii. It's a handy feature to be able to charge via USB just like a normal phone.

The canon... not so much

52 week challenge.
Where are the entries? Waiting until Tuesday night to post?
Looking forward to those posting from big cities.

Choosing the winner? Is that my job this time?
If so here will be my method.
I will simply look at all the images posted since my chosen
shot from 'Around the house' and which ever pic has the most
fav's is the winner for this week. So I'm not choosing, everyone is.
Sound good??

And I hope to see more entries. If I can get my fat arse out last night at
midnight in the cold you can too ;)

Of course for some of you guys I don't think it ever gets cold where you are.

Anyone here familiar with Canada’s rail system? Is there a website I can go to to check journey times and routes? Interested in routes in Ontario from Toronto to cambridge and Cambridge towards Niagara

Thanks! I’ll be staying in Cambridge and want to be able to use public transport if possible to visit Toronto and Niagara Falls. It’s been a few years since I’ve been but trying to avoid hiring a car if at all possible (mainly so I can have a few beers as I travel :) )
