My C/Y adapter arrived (Fotodiox Pro). Seems pretty well made, no play on either side of the mount. Now I just need to figure out how I want to configure the camera for shooting with MF glass.

A couple from the morning. First two with the 28/2.8 Distagon, the last with the 50/1.7 Planar

I've got C1 set up for magnify. If you've got the time, it is much more accurate.

nice images with the CY glass. Most folks map a custom button to focus magnify. That way you can click it and zoom into the subject and manually focus before snapping the shot. Much more accurate than focus peaking if shooting at wide apertures

Oh ho - that's the ticket. Looks like C2 was already mapped for Magnify. I like that it snaps back out when I half-press the shutter, to confirm/make minor adjustments to framing. I don't know how useful Magnify will be with the kids, they move too dang much, but I'm liking this much more than the ol' 5D VF (no live view).

Thanks!

i've loved the look of worn / torn jeans since I can remember ..

my age is probably showing - maybe its an age thing? i do have lousy fashion sense - so that might be the culprit

First try with the C/Y 35-70/3.4, which is a lens that I really had trouble with on the 5D. Wide open, very close to MFD -

let me get you to thinking hehehhe. If youre not too hung up on the resolution loss AND if you're a sucker for light weight travel options for lenses. Look into using APSC lenses on your bad boy :-) :p

That’s an interesting idea.

Yep. As a first time drone operator, I wanted that peace of mind.

I highly recommend.. After I told Alfredo I wouldn't get one because I never had to use one in the past, I just got one myself again anyways.. Even if it goes wasted, just having that peace of mind was worth it.

I've bought 3 drones. Phantom 3 Advanced in 15' and Mavic Air January of this year and then the Mavic 2 Pro when it was released. The Mavic Air and Pro I bought the refresh care package. The air I have not wrecked but I've only flown it for 6.5hrs. Not much. It's warranty will be out in Feb1st next year.

BUT

I will tell you something.... The Phantom 3 advanced I bought... and 3 weeks after I got it I wrecked in into a tree and it landed on concrete and it busted into pieces. SO I ordered another one 4 hours later with a warranty. I ended up selling off the controller, battery, the main control board, motors, and camera over about a year long period and ended up making 60% of my money back.

So... I buy the warranties. You never know man. It's a small price. If it happens your covered. Small fee.

Grab some generic grids on ebay/amazon that are around the same size.

Are you going to purchase the Care Refresh + coverage as well? I'm thinking about getting this while it's on sale. It gives us another year of peace of mind.. :)

More of a joysticks/flying training for me. Please excuse the crappy video quality. Even the flying were crappy. It's my first flight. It's a very light toy drone hence the terrible shaky movements.
