I would return it...ship it back Monday.
A. You want the 85mm GM, probably make you happier,

B. You still have an amazing 50mm in the Sigma, which I agree, based on your samples, has nicer bokeh.

C. If you haven't already, you might also try the little FE 55mm 1.8...It's impressive imo. Bokeh looks good to me. It is supposedly not quite as sharp wide open as Sigma or Sony 50mm 1.4 ZA, but excellent regardless. I have one and am very pleased with it. Really love its small size.

Probably what I will be doing...

This image is probably the one that seals it...I love shooting into the sun...it backlights soooo nicely...the Sigma Art adapted doesn't really struggle with this, oddly enough. The Sony FE 50 really did...a lot, and then it has these odd flares, with a green tint to them...

The first shot I shared of Mission Concepcion was about 30 minutes before sunrise. Here is one with a bit of color as sunrise approached.

Gotcha Travis. I don't see a 50mm in my future but if ever I think I'll experiment with
the Rok AF 50mm f/1.4

Good to hear vinz. You also need to be careful with the angle of the camera with this lens and shoot as level as you can when it's possible

Ian Norman tells me via e-mail the Sharpstar should ship Monday.
The B18 should arrive Wednesday.
Poof and I are headed toward dark skies next weekend.
So any prayers for no clouds or rain would be accepted.
We do have the lack of Moon going for us.

Good luck with the B18. I've loved mine this weekend. Massive, massive upgrade on my old samyang lol.

Just so sharp. Hoping for clear skies this weekend too.

I'm glad I can return some of the inspiration you give to me when you post from your journeys.

Here are a some more that are standard Yellowstone fare.
