For one day last week 20 or so Monarchs invaded the backyard. Next day they were gone.
Used the Nikkor 300mm PF on the A7Riii and maintained quite a distance from them.

I'd love to see the Monarch butterfly migration that takes place in California some day.

Thanks Robert. I'm seriously thinking about getting some kind of photo backdrop of a forest I can put up behind my bushes to give me a better background than cinder block.

The Contax VS 80-200/4 that I ordered earlier this week finally showed up a short time ago. I've heard that it's pretty good at 80mm but at its worst at 200mm. So I went out to shoot at 200mm If this what I can expect, I'll be okay with my budget tele-zoom.
