Of course they drop the price of the MC-11 by $100 the day after I order it!vmad

Yeah, I’ve only had mine for a couple of weeks too. I figured the price drop was coming around Black Friday but I needed it sooner. Oh well.

have u ever tried one of the hand held motorized gimbals? i watched some very smooth vids made with the dji osmo and zhuyuni smooth4, i ordered the smooth 4, shouldl be here next week, i have 2 gopro type cameras and i am hoping to get some good action footage this year snomobiling at very high altitudes with the gimbal.footage i have seen gimbal stays steady while moving the handle all over the place,

I have a Feiyu-Tech G4S gimbal for my Hero 4 Silver. It works amazingly well.

Day 2 with the hired 100-400. I used the 2x extender today, so shot at 800mm f11 at iso between 2500 and 4000. Love this combo and its a damn shame it has to go back to Sony tomorrow :(

Shooting the WW1 Warbirds tomorrow before it goes back though :)

I feel very fortunate to have the lens and both extenders. I'm very happy with the results I get with any combo.

I've just hired the 100-400 f4.5 - 5.6 for the weekend. Damn, I'd like one of these now, but I'll never get the NZ$4300 past the financial controller !!

I need to practice a bit more with it, some of the bird shots were too back lit by the sunset and I had to push the shadows too much, but couldn't move around them without spooking them. All handheld too and I'll try a mono pod over the weekend.
We have a War Birds flying exhibition on Sunday so I'll be trying it out there too.

Dont send it back.

Per SAR, Amazon is going to have a Black Friday deal going live on Sunday.

$1000 off A9
$400 off A7R2/A7R3

Hopefully they have some deals like that on FE lenses too!

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

So far I been really happy with this lens. I've primarily used primes for more than 5 years now but I'm really liking this zoom. The AF and sharpness are real impressive, much better than I expected tbh. I'm starting to use it as a zoom now too, at first I kept it at 28mm and kept moving back and forth like it was a prime :-P
