A couple of door shots from Mission San Jose using the Canon 24mm TSE. I recently shot two missions in SATX as part of my work for a client that is handling the preservation and restoration of the Missions.

It is pretty incredible isn't it.

if the R3 is 75% accurate for a given sequence, the A9 feels like 90%. while 15% doesnt seem like much, you can calculate that when shooting half second bursts, I typically shoot @ 8fps on the R3, yielding 3 usable shots for that given burst, while the A9 would yield 7-9 (depending on if running full speed) for that given burst...... pretty insane when you think about it. For a full second burst, we can be @ 6 vs up to 18 frames. While 6 for an action sequence, and more for non action is pretty good, 18 is a lot better, and in some ways overkill.

when it becomes useful, it puts a smile on my face. The 0 blackout and lag is so very nice.

I hardly ever put down my R3, and see myself using the A9 even more. It does have some disappointments with the firmware compared to the R3, but nothing dealbreaking. I really dig the top dials on the left, it means that I can reserve mem 1, 2, and 3 for different video scenarios, really sweet.

that top left dial should come standard on future bodies, I really like it.

Vinz that camp fire is really terrible. Really glad you made it through that OK and good on you for doing what you can to contribute to those who weren't as fortunate.
