I keep seeing some nice sample images from the Sony FE 24mm f1.4 lens. Looks like a great lens. Anyone considering getting it?

yes! Looking to trade in my Batis 25 and Samyang 24 at one point for it. Not in a rush though

That’s awesome Eddie. Appears to be a quality lens for astrophotography too.

Yeah it looks great. The Samyang 24 was the Astro gold standard IMO but this seems to be better. Being able to combine two lenses into one is also really appealing to me too

My Sony grip for the A7R3 arrived today along with a spare battery. First impressions are the grip is nicely built, I think that it much better built than the last one I used which was on the A7R. It really does make holding the camera much more pleasant to hold especially with some of the large lenses. I'm also happy that the techArt adapeter can be attached with the grip installed, I was concerned that the grip lock wheel would interfere with the back side of the TAP but that doesn't appear to be the case.

:-P I’ve also recently bought a 250 lowepro bag which is perfect. I literally have no use for this new bag :)

Drone? Surely, this takes up some space, must have for day trips right?

the drone has its own bag which came with the fly more kit but yeah the new bag would likely be the one I used if I wanted all my camera kit and the drone in the one bag. I’m sure it will get use. It was too cheap not to buy

I've seen some of the samples on other boards and it looks like it pretty nice addition to FE line-up. The 24mm FL has neve been a FL that I shot very much with I have a very compact 25mm Zeiss ZM that I use, I prefer the 21mm which I have covered with the Loxia. We've come a log way from the early days of FE in terms of lenses available for this mount.

On another note, I was at my local camera store today and I had a chance to play a bit with the Nikon Z7, it's a nice camera but not sure what all the excitment is about quite frankly.

I'm really digging the DJI pocket. I'd like to shoot more video of the fam, but stable video with ILC cameras is such a PITA so I end up neglecting to do so. This seems to fit the bill
