Cv 40? 8-)

Yes! It's been sat patiently in the box all afternoon in work! I then had chiropractor appointment, picked the kids up for tea (I have them every other weekend and Wednesday /Thursday for tea) I have a sports massage appointment in 30 minutes, I'll have an hour with the kids, drop them home and then, only then, can I make a brew and sit down to excitedly open the box! :p :p

One day i'll end up with the Olys M43.

oly is sooooo far advanced in ibis its not even funny, i just wish they made a larger sensor, the em1m2 has soooooo many features built in but its image quility above iso 400 suffers, i luv my oly and i am all in with lenses for it but the sony has way better images above iso 400 but has so little features in camera, i guess there will never be a "be all end all camera system,,,,haha

Stupid GAS. Wish I had kept my B25 and just gone with a full Batis set. Not because of the lenses, but because they look so cool together. :)

I still plan to stop and take some shots of this old abandoned school I drive by every day.

i want one too. Keen to hear your thoughts when you get it

Thanks I'll be sure to share them. From what I seen in the preview videos the video is really smooth and excels in low light where the action cams tend to not do so well.

Yes Mr. Arbogast where have you been?????

Need to ditch the Loxia 21. Now the 24/1.4 is here I can see myself grabbing it anytime I need
something in that range. Just a joy to use.

Fajada Butte in Chaco Canyon.
Poof was blown away by Chaco. It is my favorite ruin site every visited simply because it is massive.
I also got a Western Red-tailed Dark Phase while there :)

i hope by the time i'll stop accepting paid gigs the olys high ISO performance improves.

olys don't only have the greatest IBIS, it's also a legit travel camera for its superb weathersealing.

Been hiding out my outlaw self in the fake Ol’ West in Red Dead Redemption 2 (among other virtual worlds). :-P

Yeah, I don’t know why you’d want to keep the Loxia if you’re really enjoying that GM. Just looks like an absolute grand slam of a lens from Sony imo.

For my part the only lens I’d swap my Loxias for is a 16-35 GM...and I might just do it too. 16-35’s are just unbeatably practical for landscaping. Heck, I’ve even thought about switching off to just a 16-35 GM and a 100-400 GM...could do just about anything I want with a simple 2 lens setup like that.

The other lens/camera thing wildcard option is sticking with what I got, but adding a Mavic 2. Been wanting a drone a long long long time and and the Mavic 2 seems like it checks off all the items I’ve been wishing for in a drone. I’m carefully watching this space to see how Alfredo and Eddie (you get one too?) get on with theirs.

Eriet, Poof wanted ruins and petroglyphs and I think she bot a belly full on the trip.
We bailed on Bisti though, weather turned so we ran south away from the big snow. Ironically more
snow here in the east TN mountains but that is life and we'll try for Bisti another year.

But a big thanks to Eriet for suggesting Three Rivers. It was by far the best place for petroglyphs of the
several places we went. Here's a shot from there-

Use the FE 24/1.4. Used this lens a lot on the trip.

Woot! It is such a fun place. There are even more if you can spend time there to walk the whole area. If we can get a group trip to White Sands I'll lead a tour here

Glad you found it. You will have to share where you boondocked by the birds.

Their upcoming E-M1X with built in grip like the 1DXII is rumored to have a 7.5 EV IBIS and allow for handheld pixel shift along with shooting 18FPS. Crazy tech

David you know what I shoot but the 24/1.4 really grew on me during this last trip. I really like the manual
aperture ring on it....for a crazy reason=easier to dismount the lens vs. something like the Loxia 21mm which I hate dismounting.
Speaking of, trying hard to rationalize why keep the Loxia. Sunstars? How often am I doing them???

No more interest in drones David.
Take this last trip 99% of our target areas were either Nat. Parks, Nat. Mon's, wildlife refuges, etc. Can't drone in any of those places.
The few places I could and thought about it, the wind was way too much.
Just too many restrictions for me anymore.
