I’ve shot more video on the Osmo Pocket over the last few days than I have shot, well , ever! I have never shot a single video clip on my Sony or my previous Fuji or canons. So happy I made the purchase as I know we will look back on all the clips when the kids are older and enjoy it. I can live with the short falls of the device for that. The thing I’m most excited about doing next is compiling some motion lapses with it. Love the way you can pick a few points that it tracks between making it look like you have used a complex slider system

Picked up an R3 and really like the output! The moon shot was handheld as well, was impressed by the sharpness of the moon in such a scenario. The resolution is a huge step up from my Fuji X-H1, even if the ergonomics are a huge step backwards.

Yup.

In general when it comes to things I'd like to document for myself, I'm learning to get past technical mental blocks that discourage me from shooting.

This is kind of where I am, too, and it's one of the reasons that I'm thinking about the Osmo (that and the fun new toy factor, tbh). I really want to go play with one in-store to get a better feel for it, but I've been avoiding that because I feel like there's a 98% chance that 350 plus tax is getting vacuumed out of my pocket if I touch one.

Any ideas if there are mounts for these, so that I could slap it on the bike?

currently there are 3rd party mounts to connect it to a bike handlebar, to a phone with a tripod, to a tripod or monopod etc. No doubt more and more options will appear as time goes by

I'm looking to into doing more outdoor portraiture and flash work in general and want to expand my lighting setup. So far I only have the Godox TT685S and the X1T trigger. I am happy with the price to performance ratio of the Godox, so I will likely stick with them and their alter egos. I'm looking to spend $400 or less. I was thinking about getting a nice soft box and stand first and experimenting with what I already have, but I could see myself picking up an AD200 later. What do you guys think? I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

the size vs the 85GM. I'll just think I have the 200mm with the 1 stop advantage

Thanks for the side-by-side with the FE 85 GM, they look very close in size except for Sigma's 'built-in adapter'. How do they compare weight-wise?

If I took many portrait shots, this lens would be in my kit.

Try the Glow Parapop 38". To me it's the lightest and fastest to setup octabox. i was using it on the photo below.

it's obviously heavier but not a lot to me. I recommend using a wrist strap. It really helps. With the wrist strap i can shoot one handed.

In length yes with the difference of the built-in adapter but the diameter size difference is significant. from 77mm to 105mm filter thread

I'll just think I have a smaller and lighter version of the 200mm F2 with a 1 stop more light and without the pincushion distortion effect.

Hopefully this isn't too oversatured for everyone. The sunrise colors were so nice that particular morning.
