'35mm f/1.8 G' ????? Did I miss an announcement? I'd be interested in that lens too.

SonyAlphaRumors posted a week or so ago that there's a press conference for mid to late Jan and it's likely this lens will be announced. Last time he posted about it he said it will be a G lens.

EFCS.

I'm a couple weeks outside of warranty. We'll see how sony pro services handles this

That's bad news. I thought they made the shutter more durable. i hope Sony Pro will fix it at low cost to you.

Shutter was my fault. Used a separate allen screw to hold my leather half case and capture plate in place....it was too long and it bore into the body. Was in a hurry trying to head out the door to a new eve years ever party. Stupid stupid stupid.

Just found a really annoying limitation of the DJI mimo app. If you shoot clips in 4K you can’t down load them into the app to edit. That also means you can’t use the story function within the app to piece together clips with music to make short videos. If you record in 1080p it’s fine. What a joke. I googled a bit and found a DJI forum member saying they were working on it. You would think that since it records in 4K the app can actually use the files - nope

Looks like I’ll have to pick up Final Cut Pro sooner than I thought

Yeah I've been studying teardowns. Looks like the tripod mount plate is a single piece...good news is everything else seems to be working fine so hopefully the shutter is just jammed up because the plate is out of alignment

Please, please, please be true. Might just pickup a 28 for the time being, want a prime on the semi-wise side and don’t want to deal with the 1.4 lottery and the Sigma is too big for what I want. The 35 2.8 is a fine lens but want something faster for indoors. I want something between the 55 and 85 in size.
