-On the UWA side of things, less of a priority for me so I don't need super critical IQ here, but I do want the capability in my kit. 16-35GM is more than I'm willing to pay for a specialized need. I think it'll either be Laowa 10-18 or Sony 12-24.

I said the same thing until I tried the GM. It's IQ is just flat out amazing. The bokeh stomps all over the canon III version. I had the III just sold it. I have the 12-24 as well and it's really good but the 16-35 GM has extremely good rendering. I know it's pricey but you should at least try it. Let me know if you want to. Before I sell the 12-24 you can try it out too.

"Length" is the whole problem at death valley. Everything is so damn far from everything else. It just takes forever to travel from point to point. Hopefully the park is back open and you can get everything around Furnace Creek i.e. z point artist drive .. bad water... Golden canyon, borax etc

I wonder if you are allowed to fly in there and land. I'm really wanting to start my pilots license lessons and move toward general aviation but still feel it's a bit too early to start.

That’s great man!

I'm actually in the market to buy a Canon 16-35 f/2.8mk3. I want a UWA for my Canon.

Talley the difference is Canon renders entirely different to Sony. Time and time again I still get almost virtually no AF focus hunt with my Canon setup while I bounce flash during an event. I cannot say the same for my A7iii with GMaster 16-35 f/2.8 with my Godox V860mk2.

If you ask me.....I truly am amazed in the GM16-35 for my universal camera setup.

I am undecided what lens to buy next for Sony. GMaster 24-70mm is on my radar as it's 24mm on the wide. For video purposes I guess I'd even buy a Tammy 28-75mm too.

Canon is still a nice setup that I get rock solid results regardless of the lighting in events work. I'm still incorporating Sony.

As far as bokeh is concerned I'm not the one to judge as I do not own the 16-35 f/2.8mk3 just yet.

Yeah I had a chance to shoot with the 16-35GM when Travis had one on hand at a wedding we shot. Really nice lens. Much better than the 12-24...but man the 12-24 is fun!

I think if UWA were a priority, I'd be all over the 16-35GM...but its kind of a minor need. Since I plan to get the 24GM, I really just need something that will get me wider than 24mm for specialty shots.

Thanks for the offer though!

One can hope for a 35mm 1.8 announced today. Hard to believe that they’d gather a bunch of YouTubers and other journalists just for a mid range APS-C camera. And just as I though, the confusing Sony naming convention looks to continue if they name it an a6400.

If they make the next apsc with more of an a7 type body plus a joystick and atleast 2 dials im definelty interested..

Between my xt3 and gh5 lately my crop sensored cameras are getting the most use while my ff cameras are collecting dust.

I'd actually prefer they keep the a6xxx chassis as the evf hump adds a lot to the size and probably not necessary with an apsc sensor inside. They just need to not hold back on the controls so you're not digging through menus to make basic compositional adjustments. I.e. rx1 cameras have a really small footprint, but there are plenty of control wheels and custom buttons available so the shooting experience is not hindered.

It’s been said the a7000 will be a7 style while this 6400 is going to stay the 6000 series. I can’t imagine how they’ll make a flip up screen yet keep the corner EVF unless it a) make it a pop up evf or b) surprise us and make a side flip out screen. Otherwise the screen would need to extend out significantly to not get caught up by the evf.

3 photo documentary.

One of the perks of being photographer dad is the relationship I built with this character for hire company. This means my kids are growing up around with super heroes as princesses as friends...and that whatever random party we throw has a character for the kids.

My daughter actually knows the actresses personally since she's tagged along on my shoots and has seen all of the behind the scenes action. The actress we had for Belle at our Friendsmas party was Charlotte's favorite back in the day. Like most of these actresses, she eventually started a real career and hadn't done the princess gig in a while...but when we reached out to her for our party she happily made a special appearance.
