Would be nice to have for sure, have zero expectations for it. It's sorta like the Canon 100-400ii for canon, I recall the rumors dating back many many years, just never materialized until people totally forgot about it. DBNissan wrote in post #18797436 I picked up the Sammy 35/2.8 last summer when Adorama had a used one for $175. When it arrived it was like a brand new lens and even included the zippered case! IQ is on par with the FE 50/1.8. It feels cheap due to plastic construction but that also means you won't feel it on the front of the camera body. The flat pseudo "lens hood" tends to come off easily. Other than that, it's a great walk-around lens for the price Bought......

I returned my first copy as I realised I couldnt shoot the kids with it but now that I have the RX1RII I am thinking I could use the CV40 on the other body as I wouldnt have to try and manually focus moving things and dont have to worry about missing shots. Kinda talking myself into it Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

I havent tried it myself but read about it on FM forum. Quite reasonably priced for times when its impractical to take a laptop https://www.amazon.co.uk …%2A=1&%2Aentries%2A=0#Ask I might have missed that original discussion...I have seen things like that, and never felt the need for one...I typically can handle the slight added weight of the Surface Pro 4 for downloading and viewing...in part because there are times I want to review images on the road...when scouting locations...I have a bad habit of loving it in the field, and then seeing it on a screen and not liking it as much, so I try to review images from scouting outings so that I can fine tune the results for when the light is at its best...and that was the case on this trip too... Thanks for the feedback on the white balance and color tones. As Travis mentioned, this whole area had many color variations in the rocks and dirt including reds, cyans, greens, blues, yellow etc. TRhoads wrote in post #18797593 that is why I always have to have a laptop or something with me to download them to and make a backup...it just gives me peace of mind. Great shooting with you too..we had a nice adventure... I need to get a laptop or find some way to backup during the trip. Just for that peace of mind. Yep, thanks for assembling quite an itinerary. TRhoads wrote in post #18797595 nice lead off triple there Alfredo...that section had my attention for a while too...the people really give a sense of scale...I was overwhelmed by the size of the place, I had no idea how big that stuff was... Thank you sir! Yeah this place was nothing like I expected. Much grander in person. It was overwhelming at first because everything had a potential composition. xpfloyd wrote in post #18797616 What a start!! Awesome image Alfredo. The people in the foreground make the shot as it gives the full sense of scale. I visited death valley with my wife (girlfriend at the time) years ago but it was before I was proper into photography. I had a canon 300D and used auto mode. I wish I could go back now for the photography. Thanks Eddie! Appreciate the input. I too drove through the outer parts of DV many years ago with my wife (girlfriend back then) before I had a proper camera. You should definitely make a trip out there. The night skies are unreal. - Alfredo -
