Thanks...the mud cracks want to be the star...but that sky was begging for a role in the show!
Man, I am glad I didn't see that section way out there...I would have done my best to get there...that must be where a bunch of folks find those great clean abstracts...next time...and there will be a next time...like maybe this time in 2020...
Thank you. Yeah I wanted to go out there but I liked the position I was in because I had quite a few different compositions available for sunset. I think you're right about that area. It looks clean and had some nice S curves there. The dunes looked small but everything is relative around there. I would love another crack at Mesquite Dunes. I don't feel like I got the shot I envisioned. Still grateful for what I captured though.
Like!
Thank you MM. I mentioned everything being relative around Death Valley. When we drove to the Racetrack Playa, we passed by Mesquite Dunes along the Northwest side. The dunes looked so small in relation to the mountains around it. I think Alex Noriega captured a cool shot of it to show scale.
Gorgeous shot. You (if you haven't) must go to Great Sand Dunes NP&P in Colorado.
Thank you sir. That sounds like a great place and probably a days drive from me.
