I'm really liking the rendering of the 50ZA ...suits me very well I think. Bokeh might not be ideal for organic stuff (leafy backgrounds), but I really like it with structured/manmade backgrounds.

This was shot through a store window, so there's just a bit of weird reflections going on, but otherwise I like how this pops. Also this is nowhere near as immaculate as the Otus - still had to clean up a little fringing, but mostly it's clean.

So yesterday I started looking at that B&H deal for the sigma 35 1.4 art which was only like 749 bucks.... Then today I am rethinking my pack.

BUT what I really really am leaning to is keeping the A9 100-400 the cv 10 selling the 7r2 and all other lenses and then doing this!!!!

I am so in the weeds.

I wouldn't do it. AF is a7r mkI caliber and you'll be upgrading that thing in 2 years. Tjay was fine for the a7r since it sent terribly expensive...but a $6k camera should be something that will not need to upgrade for very many years

More snow. I'm getting cabin fever while waiting patiently for the 17-40 to arrive from Taiwan. Is it Spring yet?

I've been tempted by that Fuji camera/lens combo a lot too. Be an amazing landscape/cityscape tool. I'd never let it be my only camera, but as a dedicated landscape rig it would be awesome.

Yep. Spring is here already. Trees, shrubs, and bulbs are starting to flower up nicely here. :)

I never thought I'd miss Georgia this much. I've always loved being from there, but man am I homesick right now.

Totally. I just think the system is too immature and there are too many limitations straight out the gate.

I'm speaking as someone who was an early adopter to the a7r. The difference is that the a7r was $2k, not $6k

That really nice of you to say. Although the FE 50 ZA comes up short on color and supremely awesome bokeh, I’m still hoping that it’s going to fill that gaping hole in my heart since I sold the Otus. I’ll never regret buying or selling that lens, but I really want to get back to shooting again.

That FE 50 ZA is an elite lens, but only you can say if it scratches your Otis-sized itch. We humans love what we love.

I was very close to getting this lens last week. It was on sale for $800 AUD with $200 off but couldn't bring myself to buy it either. I've read a lot of reports of AF issues and the lens completely freezing with the FE version.

The Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 is on special here too for $1700 AUD. I did enjoy using this lens at that Sony event but I know the QC issues make it a no go.

That 35mm f/1.8 G from Sony is needed more than anything. Hopefully the announcements end of this month will include it....

Beautiful shot, it has a real 3D pop to it.

I have updated LR, but this new feature does not work without the new WIndows 1809 build...and mine won't update to that for some reason, likely a compatibility issue...so no dice for me...

I updated my Windows 10 to 1809 today too. So far, so good. As for the Enhanced Details, at least for the raw files I've tried it on, the enhancement is minuscule.

I thought it only made changes with certain sensor types like Fuji X-Trans?
