David, you've probably read this already but just in case. Looks like a great lens.

https://phillipreeve.net …gtlander-21mm-f35-review/ (external link)

Yes indeed. I also agree with Philip's key comment regarding Fred's excellent Loxia 21 vs CV 21 comparison (external link): "They match my expectations quite well. At that size and price I didn't expect it to equal the Loxia but what I see is certainly above my own quality threshold."

Nonetheless, I am indeed more likely to keep the Loxias (and add the 50 and 85) than I am to completely switch to a total CV lineup (mainly because the CV 65 and 110 are bigger than my preference and inconsistent filter ring sizes).

Competition is a good thing. Bring on the compact, budget A5 sony!

If a FE 35 f1.8 doesnt happen by end of year, I'm snagging an eos RP as a second body alongside the rf 35 1.8 on black Friday.

maybe check out this review...it seems like Canon is still way behind on things with the Mirrorless bodies...

Oh they definitely are. A friend of mine got an EOS R and shooting experience is really meh on it.

It would never by my main camera. More lightweight family set-up that doesn't cost rx1rii money.

Fuji XT30 that was just announced looks really attractive too

Had Keiran (not literally!!) for tea tonight so 0% cloud forecast meant setting the telescope up. He seemed to really enjoy it. Had to drag him inside when it was time to take him back home!! We managed some phone shots through it too which aren't bad considering!!

I also grabbed some wide sky/star shots. Just to see how things turned out & what settings etc for future :)

Really love the transition from daylight to twilight captured right there in the frame.

My handy, dandy home weather station shows that since midnight, I've already received 3.25" of rain with plenty more to come.

I'm sure Vinz and others have seen even more rain than this today.

Really appreciated it Vinz. You're a help in motivating me to want to be more productive. :)

Thanks so much Carlo. I was initially disappointed with the lack of clouds in the sky, but I'm happy with how this came out.

That is really cool Gene. I'd love a weather station like that. I'm hoping for a slightly drier year in 2019 here in West Point, GA. We had over 70" of rain last year. Average is 50".
