Eddie/others, I enjoyed listening to this new podcast called Fstop Collaborate and Listen. He had Gavin Hardcastle on. He is one of my favorite new vloggers/landscape photographers.

Yet another vertical orientation image...and more mud cracks...as we made our way back to the cars the afterglow in the sky was just too much, I had to get the gear back out...the CV12 was mounted and I didn't have time enough to change it...18mm might have been sufficient and allowed me to get down closer..I have another from a few moments later in another new wash...still working that one.

Cool shot Travis. Those clouds were awesome. I think I also stopped and got some shots.

---------------

So I tried something new for this image. Normally, I apply capture sharpening upon importing my images. It's baked into a default import preset I use in Lightroom. This time I didn't apply any pre-sharpening. I ran through my normal workflow and towards the end in Photoshop, I applied deconvolution sharpening using Camera RAW. It's also an option in Lumenzia. I masked out any sharpening in the sky. Supposedly skipping any capture sharpening (ie pre-sharpening) helps reduce any artifacts in your RAW file before editing. I also avoided adding any noise correction for the same reason.

I also adjusted overall brightness on my monitor and edited on a white background in LR and PS. Let me how the black levels and overall contrast look on your end.

A vertical shot of the mud tiles at sunrise with a subtle glow on the horizon.

Speaking of Podcasts, The Art of Photography Off Camera with Ted Forbes and Jaron is really good and worth a listen too.

In the EU the seller is required to charge the tax rate of the destanation country, no getting round that. Of course if you are registered for TAX with your company you can claim that 23% back...

wow they get u comin and they get u goin, thats awful, i was very surprised to see that some 3rd party sellers only charge tax based on thier location,i have ordered a few items and had 0 tax,,,,, wish i could order everything from them,,,,haha
