That does indeed look awesome. 28mm, ibis, small, hybrid AF. Great price too.

The topless bars are still there but I think the hippies are all gone lol. We didn't go out much at night so didn't get to see the night life and club side of SF.

Quite interesting. I did read that mission district has some of the best food places too but my girlfriend wasn't willing to explore after going to Tenderloin haha. I thought the same, especially with me holding my camera and my gf with her Chanel bag. I think we got worried the most when we seen the guy waving the gun around.

I noticed a guy sitting in a BMW talking to this homeless women through the window which I figured was a drug deal but who knows. Na I haven't heard of it but will look it up!

Is Oakland still pretty bad?

The Mission district is a fantastic foodie place and unlike the Tenderloin, I've never felt unsafe in the Mission. It's home to Tartine, one of the best bakeries in all of San Francisco. If you like to walk and hit some great eateries you should try theMission District Food Tour. (external link)

Damn I wish I knew, I would have gone to check it out. If I ever go back I'll definitely give it a try. I'm in Hawaii now but actually missing San Francisco already.

Hahaha sounds like you don't have a good history with many places around San Francisco and Oakland.

Are you on Oahu Daniel? I went there 6 or 7 years ago via SF. Loved Hawaii and wish I could go back!

Stopped down for landscapes? The Loxia 35mm is superb. Love mine (except for the ergonomics and wide open). It's the best native E-mount landscape lens at 35mm.

I was on Oahu for two years. I haven't been back and don't miss it. That was from March, 1964 to March, 1966.

I have a love/hate relationship with SF...my first trip out there was in 2000, and I have been back at least once a year since...and now every year...there are parts of that city I really like and parts I hate...and with everything that I have read, and the amount of homlessness in that city...crime is kinda high...and walking about with a few grand in camera gear on your back makes you a target...so I always feel like I have to have my head on a swivel and it makes me uneasy at times...and since I can't carry there...even more so...LOL...but I still go back...going in April for a week to work and spend time with friends...

my favorite place to be...my friends apartment...has the most excellent sunrise view...I love waking up in that space...cool breeze...cool air...great view...

a 3 image focus stack...one of the harder astro images I have ever done...one image for the first rock, one for the next and one for the mountains/stars...my final PSD file was nearly 2GB....
