I would say that is definitely true as they confused this tourist haha.
Damn at least you got something right? Same thing happened to me when I went to Hong Kong several years ago. Went to the Peak and Dragons back for the great views and could only see a few meters in front of myself as the fog was that thick.

I can't complain too much then, we did Hong Kong on the way to the UK and it was so clear up the top of the Peak :)

And here's Alcatraz the day before the fog photo ! Aplogies if I already posted these :)

Golden hour at Zabriskie Point. The textures and layers of this place are just unreal. If you look closely, you'll see someone hiking along the ridge on the right side.

Pardon the non-Sony image but this is how Hong Kong appeared from Victoria Peak when I was there in 1966.

Left of center, you can see the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany anchored out in the bay.

You know, my jaw sure is sore from hitting the floor so often when viewing your DV shots. :p

Just a slightly later image here. Still nice light but the sunrays didn't last long!

CV40/1.2E once again.

They're streetcars, and San Francisco has quite a collection of them from all over the world. They're painted in their original color scheme.

Number 1072 in your shot was built in 1946 and is from Mexico City. A listing of all the streetcars can be found on the Streetcar.org (external link) site.

There are two streetcars in service from Melbourne, one built in 1929 and the other built in 1946.

There are several working streetcars at the nearby Orange Empire RR Museum in Perris, Ca. I remember riding them as a young boy to Huntington Park with my mom to go shopping. Back in the 1950s, we didn't have shopping malls, it was the towns main street. It would be lined with stores like JC Penney, Sears, Woolworths, and many others.

Here's a shot of mine from the museum taken back in April of 2014.

Too kind Gene. Thank you. I took a small break from editing them but will catch the few I have left.

Extraordinary Alfredo. The sky isn't great and if this were my shot I would most likely crop off most of it (or at least clone out the contrails), but the way that low sunlight glances upon those formations is just marvelous and more than makes up for the limitations of the sky.

Thanks David. I can't believe I didn't catch those contrails. Thanks for pointing them out. I may go for a 16x9 crop but I actually do like the layers of cloud. I reduced saturation of the blue and cyan colors in the image to better match the warm tones.

Individually these street snaps aren't worth posting, but I hope in a set they present a degree of charm in presenting a city/town's character. These from downtown Columbus, Georgia are all with the FE 12-24mm:

Weird to me that there is any interest in a CV 21mm 1.4 boat-anchor/camera-lens combo. I may well be wrong - hope I am - but I’m not optimistic about that lens having much value in the face of the superb 24GM.

every Voigtlander I have touched is unbeatable in sun star effect durability, flare, sharpness and very good with color. So to have it beat even by a hair the Lox 21 in speed will make me have to look at it. However as someone stated I am concerned with the hood...... unless Bombo comes to the rescue with a filter adapter like on my cv10. I do love the idea of a CV bag 10 4.5, 21 1.4, 40 1.2, 65 2.0. Then keeping the tammy 28-75 for auto focus and of course the 100-400gm goodness

That looks great to me as well. My only comment on the 21 1.4 is it's going to be really heavy. The weight difference between 2.8 and 1.4 will be pretty enormous. I'm a huge fan of CV lenses though and I've thought a lot about a setup just like that except with the little CV 21 3.5 instead. :)
