They're streetcars, and San Francisco has quite a collection of them from all over the world. They're painted in their original color scheme.

Number 1072 in your shot was built in 1946 and is from Mexico City. A listing of all the streetcars can be found on the Streetcar.org (external link) site.

There are two streetcars in service from Melbourne, one built in 1929 and the other built in 1946.

Interesting to know! I was so oblivious to all this I didn't really take notice of anything when I was there.

Tea Kettle Junction on the rough road to the Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. People leave all sorts of interesting tea kettles or mementos to commemorate their trip, some to lost loved ones.

Sorry for the sky. It was noisy for ISO800 for some reason.

One of the many ruins in Chaco Canyon.
24-105=the travel zoom. No ifs ands or butts :)
Whatever it takes it's going back to Alaska this summer.

Depends on what your needs are. GRIII would be a better fit for me personally.

Ricoh GRIII is an aps-c camera with a really nice fast aperture prime.

Rx100 is a 1-inch sensor with a large focal range variable aperture zoom (and all the compromises that come with that)

While I still may get the GRIII, now I’m thinking maybe the a6400 plus the pancake 20mm f/2.8 might be the better choice If only for the much much better AF, the better video, and the fact that I can hand it down to my daughter in a few years. And since neither will seem to be available prior to my trip to Vegas, maybe I’ll pickup a used GR II to hold me over, since the advancements between GRII and GRIII may not substantiate the $500 difference.

Mavic 2 owners - I had a media company on one of my sites yesterday to setup some time lapse cameras but they were also taking some footage with their drone for us. They had the M2P drone but they also had the controller with the built in screen so I got to see it in use. Really nice clear image on it and more real estate than a standard iPhone screen. Wish it wasn’t £580 though!!

One of the biggest issues I had, when I owned a drone, was the difficulties in seeing the screen so I knew where I was at any given time. Even getting a 7" Nexus tablet and sunshade didn't help in many cases. If I were to ever get another drone, having a controller with built in ultra-bright monitor would be the best option for me. I mean, what's the point in having a drone if I can't see what I'm trying to film?

I haven't seen any reviews yet for this smart controller but I definitely will look into it. Thanks for the heads up Eddie.

Another fantastic capture Robert. I only wish his right eye weren't in deep shadow so much.

I’d really like one but the price is a bit bonkers when I think I can purchase a lens for that just about. I recently changed my phone from a iPhone 5s to a 6s so the bigger screen has made using the drone easier. The 5s screen is really small and with all the info around the edges it didn’t leave much room for the actual camera view

Edit - thinking about it more it would probably be better buying say an iPad Pro and using that as the screen with the standard controller and then at least you have an iPad to use when not using the drone. The previous gen iPad Pro is about the same price as the smart controller. I haven’t checked but I would imagine there would be some sort of a holder available to hold the controller and screen together

I saw a video on Youtube of a valley in Wales that has the same kind of thing happening. Fighter jets flying low. Looks amazing
