Any of you Osmo Pocket users editing on an iOS device? Do you know of a workaround to get 4K footage onto it so that it can be edited in Lumafusion? 4K footage from a GoPro 7 goes straight in no problem but if you shoot 4k on the osmo the iPad Pro won’t accept the files. Major frustration!! It’s something to do with the osmos codec (lack of h.265)

I'm hoping that the AF will be better being native, from what I read everyone says it is apart from real low light

hahaha you will have to either start shooting Leica or medium format :p

FE 400mm f/2.8...$12K right there...

Very natural looking :-) Nice one.

Thank you Lee. I love what you're doing with the CV40.

Wonderful. The sky colors are awesome and the overall lighting on the city is fantastic.

Thank so much Robert.

I've heard of this with the youtube reviews, and it was a big factor in my decision to get the gopro (first), hope it gets sorted out through firmware/software

Lee I love this thing-

Can take a much slower lens and get results. Plus it is small and long battery life. Easy to operate too.

Is there an Android app for polar alignment you can recommend?

It’s really annoying. Spent 4 days in Prague at the weekend shooting 4K/24 and then realised I can’t get the files into Luma! Although I watched a YouTube video today (was in German so no idea what was being said) where it looked like the guy copied the files to a WD passport wireless drive first then imported to Lumafusion and it worked so that makes me think the ravpower WiFi router I was linking previously might work. It’s out of stock on amazon though. I have copied all the files to onedrive today though so when I get home I’ll see if they can be imported from there. Bit annoying though as I would still need to do that extra step that way. I’m hoping the ravpower works as it will allow me to do it whilst travelling.

On another note I ordered a GoPro hero 7 black yesterday so looking forward to that arriving

with gopro, I'm not liking the ultra wide look, and linear wide angle, you're stuck with 2.7K, and I'm fine with that.

I've got timewarp to 30x speed, video to 2.7K 24fps hypersmooth. I may try to fiddle with the flat profile, maybe not. Biggest reason is because these small sensors need some work to get even in the furthest ballpark of a big sensor ;-)a

you also need to know these settings for low light activation:

2.7k resolution (I recommend 1080p & above)
Frames per second - 60fps (activates low light)
Field of view - your choice. I used superview
Low light - auto
Stabilisation - auto
Protune - on
Shutter - auto
EV Comp - either - 0.5/-1.0 if colour correcting. Set to 0 if not.
White balance - auto
ISO Min 100
ISO Max 1600
Sharpness - Medium
Colour - Flat. Leave at gopro if you do not colour correct
Raw audio - off
Mics - wind

got it from a youtuber

that said, my gopro is already acting up, not sure if it's suppose to behave that way, but my screen has shut down twice already, out of nowhere, so I'll be giving them a call.

Thanks Charlie. I need to get my head around those low light recommendations. I also seen that hypersmooth doesn’t work well in lower light which is where the gimbal of the osmo will probably work better. Time warp is the main reason I ordered the GoPro, that feature is nuts! Like you I’m not keen on the fisheye effect so will likely stick to 2.7k linear mode

timewarp is also my main reason. Adding relevant timelapse is a great part of story telling, and stupid simple motion timelapse for smaller clips is great for transitions and keeps the video interesting. My first real use will be for easter, I'm hoping I can clip the camera on my daughter while she hunts for eggs :-P, that'll get mixed in with footage from my POV as well.

Is there a distortion correction/lens profile available for Lumafusion for the GoPro? I believe there’s one for FCP and Premier but wasn’t sure about Luma. Haven’t used Luma yet, my Prague video was supposed to be the first one then I hit the 4K issue

dont think it has that feature. Fixing distortion in video, is not something I touch often, horizons I'll do, and I'll even keyframe it if there's a drift involved, but yeah distortion is tougher when I work with multiple focal lengths.

It was more the defish I was interested in. Basically allows a linear output with 4K footage. I googled it there though and it doesn’t seem to be possible with Lumafusion.
