Is this kit for yourself?

No. For my boy. Enough for him to shoot some night skies be through his telescope hopefully!!

Will probably also let him have custody of my Samyang 35/2.8 too.

ask them if you can get the difference refunded, B&H might grant it, I think they offer some sort of price guarantee (assuming you bought from them).

I got the package deal at the lower price...an extra trigger csnt hurt to have especially when free... now I have 3.

Haha :-) No worries. Like I said hopefully it'll get him started. He's pretty interested in the night sky!! Both being delivered tomorrow, telescope adapter on Monday. But I've not got the kids this weekend anyway.

Loxia Owners:

The FMer that sold me the Loxia 85mm included a nice little extra: a lens grip accessory from Pocket Pano (external link). It solves the problem of not having a (non-focus/aperture ring) place to grip the lens when attaching or removing the lens.

There's a little review on the product on Philip Reeve's site: https://phillipreeve.net …cketpano-loxia-lens-grip/ (external link)

I added the strip to my Loxia 21mm and it's great! The plastic strip is uses ridges that are quite grippy and definitely adds an ergonomic benefit to these ergonomically challenged Loxia lens bodies. I'm ordering two more to outfit my Loxia 35mm and 85mm.

Indeed!!

He has shown a great interest since I bought the telescope for him just after Christmas (well, he had interest even before then!) He's out at every chance - sets it all up level & pointing to Polaris every time but the majority is from his garden at his home. If the children show a good interest, I don't mind feeding it :)

He is two school years behind my daughter (18 months in actual age) She has been to New York & is going to Barcelona on school 'trips' whereas he's had none, so from a cash value point of view he is in credit so to speak!!

Eddie, got the new gopro case and tripod/selfie stick. It looks like it'll do everything I want it to do, except for float. I'm replacing the joby floating grip, which was free from B&H, you really need a grip or something when walking with this thing. Would like the tripod feature, so it's got it, want the extension aspect for low and high perspectives, and this thing is great for that, so much range. Lastly, didnt want anything heavy, have had heavy selfie sticks in the past.... this thing is really lightweight for what it is, under 200g I think. Such a versatile setup, only a slight bit larger than my default grip.

I’m in the minority group where I don’t have an issue mounting and unmounting my lox21, but that does look like a cool addition
