Can you believe I didn't buy until yesterday and Adorama delivered this morning

Buy what? The 100-400? Already?
I'm in the process of raising the funds for the FE 100-400. I promised myself I would only order it after I sold the old Canon gear.

In fact down to only 6 Canon lenses post my fire sale over the last two months and 2 bodies. I keep clinging on the 7Dii and the 400DOii for emotional reasons---they just gave me more BIF than any other combination and because I had it longer and it went on more trips. Anyway the motivating lens is here, thanks to FedEx it was on the stoop when I woke up (safe neighborhood). But as always when a new lens or camera arrives monsoon rains. So ISO goes up eh, no big deal ![]() 800mm with the 2.0 TC ![]() 560mm with the 1.4 TC ![]() And Eriet, you'll want an integral tripod foot. I saw the RRS one for the 70-200GM and it looked real close. Turns out to be snap-click instant placement on the 100-400GM which is lighter than the 70-200GM; not marketed for the 100-400 YMMV but I didn't have a problem today with it- ![]() I hate you too now! For the type of work that you do Vin, a Fuji X-T2 or X-Pro 2 with 2-3 primes would be great. It has enough pop and for a portrait and people shooter it works great. Olympus makes great bodies and they work well for long, telephoto glass but I don't think you'll be satisfied with the files nor the high ISO performance. that's what i thought too especially after using an RII. i'll check the X-Pro 2. thanks. | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift

I've used both and it's a very subjective thing on which if preferred. If you're slow and methodical, use primes (especially the smaller f2), and don't do video the X-Pro 2 is preferred. If you shoot action, do video, and use zooms the X-T2 is preferred. Both are great options. Current Gear: Sony RX1RII

MedicineMan4040 The Magic Johnson of Cameras More info | Jul 29, 2017 19:06 | #2726 RRS replacement foot. You unscrew the knob on the OEM Sony foot, then slide the RRS foot (the one marketed for the 70-200GM) into place, it snap-clicks into place. Then you screw down the know on the RRS replacement foot. 30-60 second job and is perfect fit. I walk within 75 yards of him-IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/X2hNCn Then I wait (and wait). Finally he leaves-IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/X2hQsV Luckily he kinda flies my way-IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/WCsrDq On the way home a psuedo macro. I really feel way better macro can be had if I'd had time-IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/VXx5Bo Waiting for me on the fence when I got home-IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/WCtqZh I posted all the above over at FM too. IF you live in a state/country with Sun you are golden with the 2.0TC. Where I live I'll get maybe 65 days of the year to enjoy this combo. So far my feelings on the FE100-400GM. Perfect? No. My happy? Very. Now all I need (please Sony) is a 400mm prime and then I can sell the 400DOii and 7Dii and be Canonfree ![]() flickr

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | On an another note, what lighting are you all using for these product shots? In my case, I'm using Nissin flashes and the Air 1 Commander to control them wirelessly. I now have three Di700a's and just recently acquired, the i60a. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||
