One of my wildflower images got published in a local Texas Hill Country magazine. Very excited about the 2 page spread. Excuse the iPhone shots.

Awesome Alfredo! Congrats; those are gorgeous photos.

Thank you David! I was hoping to land the cover but it went to another traveling photographer I follow on Instagram. He travels around in an Airstream and is a Sony shooter. Really talented shooter.

Man that’s the life! I’d love to live out of an Airstream. There are a few of them at the campground I’m at right now. Old ones or new ones; they’re things of beauty.

Good for you Alfredo, that is awesome!

My little back yeard Bluebirds seem to have decided that this is the year that our little bird house looks best...they are actually nesting this year, last year they hung out but no nest.
A big time crop down to 1800 pixels on the long side to get this...not bad from the 70-200GM with the 2x...considering how many pixels that bird is, how far away it was, handheld...I will take it. I am going back out later to see if I can capture them in flight a little...the tracking AF might get put to the test.

When the male came back to the branch with this bug, he flaunted it to her, showing her...hey...look what a stud I am I caught this big ugly bug for you...

Congrats Alfredo!

_______________
I purchased the controller wheel for the Osmo Pocket and it really helps with the panning both horizontally and vertically but annoying to realise that it no longer fits in the hard case with the controller attached! I thought it would at least have fitted in with the controller sticking out the side but it doesn’t. I’ll end up losing it if I need to keep taking it on and off. I see amazon sells a cheap plastic gimbal protector so I’m going to order that and see how it goes.

Holiday/Vacation zoom lens - Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 or 24-105 f/4?

Basically speed vs reach I suppose.

I’m going to Florida again at the start of May (was supposed to be July/Aug but we brought it forward today) so my thoughts are naturally at what gear to take. It’s either a7riii + batis 25, cv40 and batis 85 or considering one of the above zooms and the cv40 and be done with it. Thoughts?

I'de lean one zoom and CV 40.... hard beating that 40 when it comes to family shots, while the convenience of the zoom for the beach would be real handy (assuming you spend time there).

I pretty much always travel with at least a "normal" zoom, and then add primes to it. Sometimes my normal zoom is the 28-75 other times, the 24-240. I like the longer range at the beach, since my kids are a bit older and can swim. With my younger kids, I dont need the reach, since I cant be too far from them. Either way, you've got a great kit as is.
