I need to get over my fear and actually try video on the Sony. Thanks for the heads up on the lens!

much tougher to break through the video barrier than certain gear. I got to figure out Mic Solutions, the small Rode that Gene use is still too much for me, I need something even smaller and tough. Or possibly lose the dead cat thing.... on the positive side, sony's have a lot nicer built in audio than canon. That's a huge convenience.

I think I only suggested the Rode. Since it's just me, I use wireless lapel mics like this one from Sony. The microphone is a mic in itself but you can also plug a wired lapel mic into it which is even less noticeable. Then just place the microphone in a pocket and run the wire from the lapel mic to it, which is the way I prefer to do it. The biggest downside is the receiver has no way to attach to a camera and just sort of dangles. Each unit does have a clip attached but they aren't very practical.

I'm hoping to go on Wed - it's tough to get 4 hours (movie plus travel time) away from the fam on the weekend.

Bill is my name - I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity.

I've never been much into the super hero thing but I have seen most of the movies over the last half dozen years or so, I much prefer the GOT or LOTR type movies or anything that is Steam Punk inspired. I will at some point probably go out and see it anyway. As a general rule I tend to stay away from the craziness of openers I would rather wait a couple of weeks and see it then.

My boy is crazy on it all!! He's going tomorrow evening with my daughter, their mum & their stepdad - He's massively into all the superhero stuff too.

I have seen most of them, I'm not so much into it, but I will see it at some point I expect.

Finally getting around to editing some of my Christmas holiday photo's from New York.
Here's another from the 911 memorial infinity pools. There is a quite eerie reflection of the surrounding buildings of what looks like the twin towers through the memorial for Engine 154

A couple of Crazy Birds, pretty heavy crop, they had no intention of letting me get anywhere near them.
