OK one more of Casey, he doesn't like to photographed much so I have to bribe him with a treat.

Bought a 24GM from DJ R on FM.

I'm interested in seeing how this works out for me. I'm wanting a fast 24 primarily for documentary work (both weddings and family). I also plan to add an a6400 somewhere down the road and aside from being my second body, am thinking this would be my main family set-up. My thoughts are that it'd be a nice alternative to the old Rx1RII, or lugging the a7rIII + FE 35 around.

I tormented myself over selling the Loxia 21 since they're redundant lenses. But even though I don't really shoot landscapes or architecture at the time, the Loxia rendering is something special for that type of work IMO. My company will be moving to downtown Houston in 2020, so I do think I'll get back into it one day. I think the two lenses are distinct enough in rendering to keep both?

This is my first big photography purchase since I got the a7rIII in 2017. I behaved for a while!

Excellent self control on new gear. And congrats on the new acquisition; I hope the 24GM serves you well. Looking forward to the pics!

Congrats on your new acquisition, based on all the reviews it's an outstanding lens ! The 24 GM is a lens that has interested me for quite some time but I have been able to stay away from that temptation for now :-). I have the 24-70 GM for family type shooting and it's really versatile for that although it's a bit of a beast to lung around.

Testing out the GM 135 today, weather was really crappy and all I had for a model was my old guy Casey. Animal eye autofocus is really something else !

I really like the transition between the subject and the OOF areas with this lens. + nice microcontrast without looking overly harsh. The sigma at times looks like heavy-handed clarity slider.

TY! I like fast wide angles for photos of the kids so I think this will be a lot of fun. Really interesting look to add some variety for wedding stuff too.

Congrats! 24 1.4 was one of my absolute favorite walk around lenses from Canon days. I just love that FL, so much more than 35mm.. Looking forward to your images!

Congrats Carlo on the 24mm GM. That's another lens I would love to own.

Jose, congrats on the 135mm GM too. Looks like a very nice lens!

SAR & Petapixel are reporting that Adobe has bumped the LR/PS plan up to $20/month, but when I check Adobe’s pricing plans they’re still listing the $9.99/month plan. However, per Adobe’s message to Petapixel they are indeed considering this change. It all seems a bit ominous to me and I may have to rethink my attachment to Adobe. I need to get busy trying to learn Affinity Photo or other alternative.

I could stomach a keep-up-with-inflation price bump, but going from $10 to $20/month all at once is absolute crap. And how long will the current $10/month pricing remain effective? Just feels like waiting for the hammer to fall.

Adobe have confirmed on Twitter that the cheaper option is still going to be available and also that if you are already on the plan it won’t change. I can’t see them doubling the price as there would be mass exodus

Thanks for the correction. I hadn’t thought to check Twitter. Just did. Someone in their marketing really kicked the hornets nest by listing only the 1TB plan price. Unless they were contemplating phasing out the base package it looks like a needless error by someone at Adobe.

This ridiculous/needless Adobe pricing scandal really highlights how untrustworthy SAR and Petapixel are. They should fully retract their fake news and post the corrected story, but all they do is add a little correction at the bottom of their original post.
