From my Interior Design shoot a couple weeks ago...this was an unusual composition I chose after getting the safe shots of this massive entertainment wall...I liked it for its unique take on the space, figuring the designer would not like it...but she did...wrapped up the edit on it tonight, two frames, an ambient and a strobed layer blended in manually. This was before the B18 started to malfunction.

B18 malfunction. Hmmm. You know I didn't like that lens at all. Sorry for your trouble.

anyone have or came across the 85GM being loud on the focus? Did you exchange for another copy that was better? mine is really loud! :/

I couldnt tell much with the loaner I used before, but also it was at a noisy venue so it was hard to hear if there were any issues with focus on the lens.

They’re famously loud. My 50mm 1.4 ZA is loud as well.

Yeah AF is noisy and kind of slow. It's moving a lot of heavy glass :-)

Fortunately? I'm hard of hearing so I couldn't say whether it is or not. It is a bit slow on focusing but understandably so.

the one thing the a9 does not have is that resolution advantage...finer details are not as crisp...but for me it makes up for it in speed, consistency and accuracy.
