she doesn't badger me anymore...just goes and asks mom...LOL...and I am the odd ball, not on iOS...

I wasnt on IOS before, however once the school mandated iPad's it was the best thing to do. In the end, it works out well, my kids can call their grandma, aunts, and uncles directly from their iPad, a luxury I didnt have growing up. My daughter speaks with grandma on a daily basis.

the school we are in right now is a private school, and rather than require students to have an iPad...they have a fleet of Chromebooks that the kids use and I love that...I don't trust a 7 year old to keep track of an ipad...hell she looses her jacket and lunch box weekly...and those are cheap!

Based on good reviews by America's Test Kitchen, I picked up this olive oil to try out.

I hadn't realized there were as many varieties of California Ranch as there appears to be until I began researching myself. I did a quick taste test with my new oil and I like it compared to what I've been using,

Saw a video on Vimeo, mind boggling timelapse, the crazyness starts about 1 minute into the video

Ooft! How in the heck?? That’s insane. Do you think he took loads of extra time lapse at each location so that he could then edit each frame and pick out bikes that were in the same spot to make it move slowly along like that? If that’s the case then that is one hell of a lot of editing! That doesn’t really explain how he done the end portion though. Mind. Boggled.

I wish I knew :-P

the sheer volume of images he/she worked with is too intimidating to think about

Just watched again there. The sections where there’s a slower bike are all taken with the camera static. I can only imagine they took extra shots (probably thousands) at each location then photoshopped every single frame of the finished movie to add bikes that were in the correct position from the extra images he shot. That’s nuts and crazy commitment!

2:54ish onwards is bonkers. Can’t work that bit out

at 1:39, there's a bit of reveal..... he has a portion of the sky, and it flickers back and forth. He probably had to rearrange frames to make it work. There's no rhythm to the general timelapse hence it's easy to get really confused in what's going on.

pretty certain it's frame arrangement in after effects. Probably cant do this easily with anything else. I know with after effects, he could be using a tracker to find necessary frames?

if you use a tracker, you can plot out the position of all the people in a certain range, however you still need to manually re position the frames, and that's a ton of work. Too high level for me, but I'de be interested in learning for the sake of it. Cant imagine sitting for hours to sort through the frames

Ha there’s me thinking I had worked it out only to find out there’s a whole other level of things I’m blissfully unaware of :D

A lot of the timelapse appears to act like a strobe effect and I'm also guessing tracking must be applied to align a single point in the frames to match up faces/eyes/helmets?

I am right there with you...I bought an ipad for my wife, because she won't use her laptop...and she surfs too much on the phone and it kills her eyes...well my daughter uses it more and has filled it up with a ton of crap apps...and is like a junkie for it...so I cut it off...I really try to limit her to how much she can use it...a little at a time, so tired of garbage youtube videos making them think they need all these toys...

Those toy videos are like camera review videos to us lol
