I've been using the Galaxy s5 since 2014 and finally decided to upgrade. I just bought the Galaxy s10e.

Looking at these I don't think 1/3200 was even fast enough.
I did research eastern Bluebierds, they fly at 17mph.....really not that fast but compared to a truck
or car at 17mph the dinky bierds seem to fly 1000mph.

Robert, as others have said, it takes quite a bit of skill to do BIF, I really don't know how you do it, I've tried a couple of times and failed miserably even with larger slow flying 'bierds" like geese and herons. I can't imagine capturing things like Swallows in mid-air.:-D

85GM has a single motor moving all of that glass at once. 135GM has dual AF motors independently moving the front and back focusing elements.

Yup, it's like night and day when you compare the two. The 85 in my view is a much more specialized lens, it's perfect for portraits so auto focus speed is really not a huge requirement. The 135 GM is more generalist but can be used as a portrait lens, short tele for sports is an area that this lens is fantastic for.

So Recall Custom hold will override any of the settings you have set in the camera once you hold that button, and compose the photo with the settings you have assigned to the Recall Custom Hold. The items that are checked are the ones that override the cameras current settings....so you can pick which settings you want overridden when you hold the button you have assigned to the recall custom hold toggle you create. If you check the last box, which is "AF-ON", it will start the AF system when you toggle that button is it essentially becomes an AF button with some custom exposure settings attached to it.

I've had an "oh crap something is happening" toggle mapped to C4 for a while now...basically a setting I use when something is happening unexpectedly and I want to catch it, but my SS might not be fast enough and I might not have a wide enough AF area. When I hit that button, it starts focusing and sets the shoot mode to manual, F-stop to 2.8, shutter speed to 500, exposure comp to -2, high continuous shooting, AF-C, and wide AF area.

Thanks, Carlo. I do have the first one set up and it hadn't occurred to me to uncheck any of the boxes. These cameras are so customizable that they are much smarter than me.

Bill I could be wrong but I think there is yet another firmware update coming for the a7Riii, or is that the one I did a couple
a weeks ago? I don't know!

I knew there was another coming for the a9 but didn't realize the R3 had another coming.

Good looking phone Gene, I've never been able to get comfortable with Android OS, I have a corporate Samsung phone Samsung but just couldn't get use to it after so many years in IOS.

Love the screen though, I could see that as a Android phone screen display.

That's the way I am with iPhone. I don't use a Mac so the Android universe feels more familiar to me. I uh, faked the screen on this shot but I do use one of my hummer shots as the background on my phone.
