Planning to utilize the animal eye AF with your visitor?

Haven't discovered that feature yet but once I completed the menu customization, I will.

Regarding this image:
https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=18864450&i=i190711624

Is it possible to do something about the ice container in the foreground not being oval instead of round?

Not being critical, the images are wonderful... just wondering if you think a) this is even an issue, and b) if you have some way to deal with it in post.

For animal eye AF, your camera's firmware needs to be at least version 3 (version 3.01 is the latest).

Here's some info on the firmware and links to download.

Focus stacked? Impressive detail from the bottom of the frame upward. Love the textures.

I’m sure this one is hundreds of years old. Impressive trees for sure.

Thank you David. Yes this was focus stacked. I blended in the water from another exposure.

I highly-highly-highly recommend it. It's fast, quiet and sharp. Plus, has minimum focusing distance of 7.5" on the wide side and 15.3" on the tele end

thanks. it's backordered though. I hope the stocks will come in soon before our flight.

do you have a gallery of images using it?

Wasn't my choice to get lots of shots of bierds, and you all know we seek them wherever.
After seeing the Harris Hawk in Az I jumped at the chance to watch a falconer training one.
Sorry about the ISO, I've whined about it before on this trip.
