Finally getting around to the a6500.
This one with 1.4TC and FEGM100400.
Also playing with the Godox TT350s and had it off camera several feet for this shot.
The big V860IIs is a porker, me thinking the smaller flash will get more use/packed more time.

indeed, the full sized flash is obnoxiously big, I'm going to reserve that to the times I have to shoot a lot, and I'm going to get the smaller one for travel/incidental use.

recently decided to try a different fish haha, i use a rokinon canon mount fish on my a7 in crop mode, picked up this 6.5mm 190degree bad boy on amazon, its not a everyday lens but resonable sharp. doesnt focus as close as the rokinon does though and doesnt have a hood which i wish it did. fun little lens though, i processed images using dxo optics pro, i really like this software, the noise removal tool is great,

the lens is a "meike"6.5mm in e mount. only a crop fish but it is a f2.

Charlie it is a little flash but with the MagMod fresnel it has reach.

another fun evening shot, difficult to use this lens hand held as its so wide ur fingers get in the shot on the shutter some times haha, fun little lens

I like how the water spouts appear to blend right into the clouds.

I finally tried my new focus rail this morning. The subject is a brass lizard letter opener that's probably 100 years old. I remember when I was young, my dad used it to try and pry something open and the tail snapped. It used to be nearly twice as long as it is now. He was able to reshape the broken tail so that it's still usable to this day.

I took 10 exposures at f2.8 and stacked them using PSCC 2017. I can see a couple of areas where it needed at least one more image to close any gaps in focus. Practice, practice, practice.

Oh, the Royal Flush shot I just focused manually near and far and blended them instead of using a focusing rail.

Looks a lot like the older Kata bags that allowed for backpack, sling, and X style. No room for any real personal gear and just camera equipment. For me it's overkill and weatherproofing is not a huge concern of me. I'm certainly less weather sealed or weather resistant than my camera gear. When it's raining or bad weather I'm running inside.

yes i noticed that too, total fluke, didnt know it till i got home to process the pics, i took about 4 and this one the clouds were in the right spot, the image is kinda hazy as we are experiencing very bad forest fires this year and the smoke is causing some real problems.

I received the tt685 yesterday (love same-day delivery). I'm pretty happy with it so far.
It's about the size I'd expect.

Is the 350 that much smaller?

I've been thinking more and more about the 16-35 GM and frankly the 24-70 GM. I am a bit surprised that I'm not super excited by either and that includes the FE 12-24 too. I think I've come to realization that I truly prefer high quality primes over zooms. I'm quite happy with my Laowa 12mm, Batis 18mm, Loxia 21mm combo on the wide end and FE 55 and Loxia 85 on the mid range long end. I guess if I was traveling all the time, I may prefer the 16-35 and a 24-70 to avoid changing out lenses all the time. Anyone else share the same about primes vs zooms?

So far I've been doing well to suppress the gas on these amazing new zooms, but I do look forward to learning about the 16-35mm.

I don't currently own a zoom and that's pretty revealing about where my heart is on lenses. I'm very happy with my Laowa 12, Tamron 35, FE 55mm, and all four Batis lenses. The only thing I don't like about them is the Laowa is too heavy and the Tamron is artificially too heavy due to the adapter. But the Batis lenses and FE 55 are a total delight.

Hope Zeiss makes a Batis 35mm (currently stuffing money away for that day ).
