showing $748 for preorders at bnh

.

I maybe interested.. this plus a 85 1.8.. completes my sony kit

will probably end up getting rid of the 28/2 and the 55/1.8

.. but .. its so close to the 28/2 it better be amazing IQ wise for the price difference

For the price........ I’ve got different priorities. The 17-28 f2.8 packs better value. ~140g heavier is my biggest concern.

With all the lenses available, it’s in a tough spot. I have so many shots from my 28 that it’s becoming my “normal” lens and at the same time, i’ll Waffle back and forth between 28, 35, 50 over time. When I can’t decide, 28-75 does a hell of a job.

For video, 28 is essentially 35 when you factor in the cropping, and 35 becomes a tad too tight.....

It’s going to be tough for me to get this lens at this point in time, too many nice lenses.

E-mount is getting a bit saturated at this point, just needs fast and light f1.4’s across the board. 35 f1.4 mainly, Samyang 50 f1.4 and 85 f1.4 are viable alternatives IMO, however, would love a better brand, as SY is not my first choice for various reasons. 20mm f2/1.4, 24mm f2, and 28mm f1.4 should be next with lenses, along with big glass here and there.

Sorry to be so totally off-topic here but I'm really looking forward to the release of Francis Ford Coppola’s restored "Apocalypse Now Final Cut". It should be released on 4k UHD HDR disc on Aug 27th and will feature a soundtrack in Dolby Atmos. This should look and sound awesome on my Samsung 55" 4K TV and soundbar that plays Dolby Atmos soundtracks.

I've only seen the movie once, many years ago in what was the original version.

Very deep movie. The story behind the making of it is kind of crazy as well.

You live in the right place Gaab! Could shoot every night!
I've only got one 'astro' image from your hemisphere, Greater and Lesser Magellanic Clouds.

Apocalypse Now? am I remembering the right one? Smell of napalm in the morning?

I'd make sacrifices for a 14mm version of the 24GM.

Yep, that's the one.

Going on a completely different tangent, can you suggest shutter speed/iso for shooting Saturn tonight using my a7rIII + FE 100-400 + 2x extender?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Eddie!

Not sure if you've seen it but someone has the Sigma lenses and they note the 35mm f/1.2 as being a "very big lens".

Probably fair to say it will be the size of a 200 f/2 :p

That is a dark movie, but if you like it, you should come up my way and visit Coppola's winery where he has all sorts of movie props including things from Apocalypse. A few examples in the Where's Nifty? thread.

Can someone please recommend a video editor for drone video? Preferably free. I’m going to dive into drone video and need to practice before taking on a commercial project in Dallas.

Honest cc please.

the first one is 3 exposures HDR processed in lightroom

the second one is 1 ambient and 2 flash frames manually blended in photoshop.

which one looks better for you? I'm trying to eliminate the strobe to be faster on shooting time.
