Gene, I hope that’s a good thing. :-)

Thank you.

It is! :-) I especially like the oddly shaped tree on the right and the myriad 'salt and pepper' colored beirds.

Wonderful! I agree with Gene that this image has a marvelous illustration-like quality. I love how the foreground slender leaves break through the shadows to draw the eye upward into the frame.

Thank you David. Those thinner leaves in the foreground were cool. Good observation on them.

Great! Thanks Gene. Yes that tree is home to many egrets and cormorants and other birds. It’s a cool place to shoot.

Some recent shots from my trip.
Nutmeg growing in a tropical forest. Sleeping owls in a sanctuary, a cassowary and 2 crocs...the saltwater variety. Pretty nasty.

Not sure what this plant is but it's spreading all over our local lake.

If that's what I think and Robert says too then it's a highly invasive weed.
Here (Australia) is a State prohibited weed. State prohibited weeds are the highest category of declared noxious weeds
Originally introduced to Australia as an aquatic ornamental plant, water hyacinth has become a major pest of rivers and dams.

That looks a serious infestation.

I'm just waiting for three weeks from today for my 200-600. Just in time for Elk Rut season out here. A new super capable APSC would be icing on the cake.

Same here, I've been good at waiting on the 200-600 but that feeling is creeping in. A mini a9 would be as you say, the icing.

A great feature for vacationers to the sunny side of Mercury! :p

LOL! Its really good for sports...that said I didn't get to shoot one frame of my daughters baseball this season...I was assistant coach...hard to do both. But she is going to do fall baseball so maybe I can take a few.

Super cool portrait!

Thanks. He liked it too, immediately when he saw it on the back of the camera.

Well, it wasn't as hot today as it was yesterday, only 107°, so I went out to the shady side of the house to see what I could find.

107! Amazing. That was the temp when Poof and I hiked Death Valley NP.
107 here would be deadly.
Beautiful bee, love the environment included with the dazzling colors.
