I decided to cancel my 200-600 preorder. I’ve had GAS for the 500 PF since it was released and decided to add my name to a waiting list. I’ll probably add a 100-400 GM down the line for its closeup/landscape abilities.

Particularly if you already have an a7riii, which is a very capable and balanced camera as is. I think there's greater urgency to upgrade if you're still using an a7rii, but worth waiting at least for a price drop below $3k if you have an riii. I don't think we ever see an a9r... A9 will always be optimized for speed, so lower MP is the best route to go. I do think we see an a9II before the Olympics though

He is pushing buttons on the camera and the thing is bouncing all over, it doesn't look steady at all...so...my mind is made up. I will stick with my Gitzo and RRS legs...just funny that a video on one thing, made up my mind about something else that probably wasn't intended to be in the video...

I am questioning my original take on it...he has not responded to a couple comments about it...which I would think he would...but so many of the vloggers don't reply or even engage....I understand it would be time consuming...but its kinda their job I would think. Miranda1 Goldmember More info Post edited over 4 years ago by Miranda1. | I'm pretty sure it's the PD tripod at least in the earlier part of the video at 2:50 seconds is when you can see all the wobbling but I'm not convinced it's the tripod that is wobbling, it looks like its the actual connection between the camera plate and the PD ballhead that is loose, if you look at the locking ring on the ballhead it appears to be steady even though the camera is flopping around like crazy. I saw a few elk when I was there in June but didn’t have any long glass with me. I’d definitely bring the lens if it’s available. Just a thought from Daniel

Yeah, last year I used the 100-400 and 2x and that was a challenge at f11... vinmunoz wrote in post #18895289 somebody posted this in facebook. Sony a7RIV: @tonynorthrup has found a focusing issue and has reported it to Sony. You may want to wait and not preorder. Check out his Instagram post. gotta love someone who his wife raves in one video and then he vaguely mentions an issue in an IG post... Website

AF at F11 means with 1.4 and 2.0 TC 3. colored AF points Should be glad I'll be in middle of nowhere Alaska/no cell or internet when it can be pre-ordered ![]() 4. Pixel density la mache! Will mull this one especially if the mini-a9 doesn't get announced by fall. There is a Nikon D500 inside every Nikon D850 via pixel density.....the A7Riv looks to have the cropper I want inside ![]() This has me thinking hard as well, but I will wait until they are done announcing everything. The A9 is the only Sony I own, as I generally prefer my smaller lighter Fuji gear for non moving stuff. That 26mp crop is tempting though with a 600. I can always get my name on a list when I pick up my 200-600 Fuji XT-2, XT-3, Sony A1, A7RIV, A9, and an OM-1
