Yesterday evening's project right before going to work. Poof found them trapped. Police/fire department uninterested. Wildlife agency only an answering machine.
Never touched nor held one before...kind of exciting.

I'm all aboard the stacked sensor or bust train :p

I'm not really hurting for cameras, there are a few things that I want, and mainly a FF A6xxx sized body with Z battery. Popup or external EVF, just dont use it enough to have it full time.

On another note, ready to preorder the Tamron 17-28, but am I too late? I'de hate to be on some impossible wait list.

Charlie I pre'ed the 17/28 within 2 min's of ability to do do.
Mean anything? Who knows. Went through Adorama so a crap shoot.

A bit of a bummer for the Riv...just watched Tony and Peg Bundy's 'tube on it and buffer
fills in 6 seconds and takes 20 years to clear :(
If I'm doing bierds in flight, I've filled the a9 buffer with around 200 shots.
Just something to think about for possible wildlife shooting.

I’m sure Sony can solve this physical limitation with a magic firmware update. :p

Since I will likely never commit to getting really serious about birds, I’m not worried for my own needs. It is important to make the purchase decision with both eyes wide open to the facts though!

Wonder why the a7RIV didn't get the same left side dial as the a9? I wish it also had the Playmemory apps, built-in intervalometer, custom long exposure without going into bulb mode, and in-camera focus stacking.

Was that in full res mode or crop mode? Could make a difference.

Ed my impression was compressed RAW.
And I think in that measly 26mpx crop mode the buffer is tripled.
For me 26mpx is greater than a9, a6400, and the D500 again keeping it in perspective.
So still a contender unless the mini comes out, and if the mini comes out I can see off-loading the a9
and adding the Riv, hmmmm...

Went and looked it up, roughly 3x's in crop mode....so 190-210 shots. Doable :)
