Ahh ok.

Yeah I just realized my R2 has lasted me 4 years and realistically could last another 2. I dont shoot as many burds as MM or sports so I hope my A9 lasts 4 years at least. This R4 better!!!!...my biggest fear is not a more resolution version but a version that has 20 stops of DR next year with no noise.

Burds! Love it!

David and Travis, I'll be in Atlanta next Friday (Aug 2) thru August 16 for work. Are there any spots that I have to check out? I think Travis mentioned Cloudland Canyon State Park. I also want to check out the overlook at Bell Mountain near Hiawassee and Tallulah Gorge. I may consider a visit to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's about a 3 hour drive from where I'm staying.

Wow, a visit to GSMNP would be amazing for you. I wish I lived that close to the park. Cloudland is another winner. I think you’ve got all the best landscape areas listed. Hope you have a great visit!

Sony certainly doesn't seem to mind sharing their latest technologies even with their more basic models as demonstrated in the new Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII

Heck of a travel camera, will it stack photo's in camera? 20mp bracketing should get you some very nice images when you travel

Leica just came out also with something similar

Argh im back to lenses because of the R4.

I cancelled my 17-28 tammy because I wanted to see how it resolves the R4 @61mp but I am hearing rumors its not solid as is so thinking that option is out.

If I hated my Lox 21 this would be so much easier. Im back to 16-35gm or 24 1.4gm - I went to flickr and have to say the 24 1.4 photos are better than the 16-35s and the sunstar is not too shabby. Would love the AF, and with the R4 I think I could sell the 28-70 because the crop mode gives me a 24mm to a 36mm "2.8" eff dof ..... I could feasibly keep the 90 but if i sell the 28-70 and the 90 that sorta covers the 24.

Grrr new camera is making me gassy

For vacation, I need it to be weathersealed because we usually travel to Asia where rain are not joking and no warning sometimes. that's why i'm thinking about the EM1 Olys for my next vacation. those are like all-weather proof.

Vinz the OMD M1 mk ii was the only camera I ever had that I would purposefully put on a tripod knowing it was going to rain, and not fret about it.
The M1 mk ii recently has a huge update for AF.

I know that sony's may not have the best rep, however when working the funeral, there was a flash rain episode, and I had to fix the home's raincover. I had the A9 on my body, peak clip, totally forgot about it. Drenched head to toe in what seemed like less than a minute? The A9 + 28-75 was sealed enough to avoid any damage..... Rain in vietnam is like florida level rain, super fast and hard, causing flash floods.
