I check the site daily.... I haven't left. Just working 60+hrs a week leaves NO time for anything. I did however get a few days away from work and was able to capture a few images. Here is my first edit.

We have a three day even coming up later this weekend. 21 miles and over those miles we'll gain 10,000 feet and loose 14,000 feet.
Travis we'll be zipping by your rock between Round Bald and Grassy Ridge.
This hike to celebrate my reaching 177.5 pounds! And will probably drop a little more on the hike.

Many people think the Appalachians are soft and lush. We do have our rocky sections. Like this from the 3 day hike a couple of weeks ago

That's Poof in front and Neutron behind. He's my personal physician and thy guy who bought my a99ii. Always good to have an MD along when in the woods but he's a beekeeper too, that's how I met him.
I won't be carrying a camera on the hike...this has to be the lightest loudout I can come up with...so the phone will have to do. Got a deal on a Note 9 since the 10 is out and will the shooter.

Congrats on reaching that weight Robert. I'd like to get back down around there too. Right now, I'm not only not in the neighborhood but not even in the same state as 177lbs. :p

Sunrise at one of the few good sunrise spots in the Smokies...it looked like it was going to be a total overcast dud...but some holes in the clouds produced some good light, good light over those layers.

One advantage of shooting 2 bodies, they can do different comps...I was working between both of them this morning...

Incredible atmospheric perspective!

Went to see some incredible paintings by Monet at the Kimbell in Fort Worth, TX and shot some other stuff as well. The painting was poorly lit but in reality it was absolutely glowing.
I also visited the Museum of Modern Art .Here is the main hall.

Color me envious. May I ask how you were able to stack the two teleconverters? I have both and would love to know how.

You need to buy the Kenko extension tube set for Sony full frame. Other brand might not have big enough hole in the middle. Then use the 16mm tube, and you need to do a small mod to it. You need to cut away the slight black plastic protrusion to make it flush with the metal part, before the TC will click with it.

I'm okay. The size and weight of any lenses like that simply takes any desire away for me. Awesome looking images though I will agree fully!

You ordered the FE35 on that 10% discount didn't you Eddie?

I’ve woke up and sensible head is back. I’ll keep my preorder as it’s the size and weight that appeals. But man that 1.2 sure does look nice but not for me

Nice. I’d love to see more captures from you of the Kimbell, one of Louis Kahn’s several architectural masterpieces.

I’d guess that the FE 35 1.8 will AF a lot faster/better than the Sigma, which probably serves your specific needs better. The Sigma 35 1.2 lens has got a lot more glass to move around (82mm front element!).

Interesting, I thought these were the same as mine, but I have the WI-1000X, dont quite understand sony's naming convention with these speakers.

those style scare me into losing them, but I'm sure the sound quality is amazing. I'm on my first sound cancellation headphones and they are pretty darn quality.
